    the mosc family {up in Boston}

On our baseball travels (John got tickets for the boys and him to sit on the Green Monster at Fenway), I was able to fit in a bsquared session up in Massachusetts for a high school friend.  All the chips fell right and we were able to book the session while the boys were at Fenway (the hotel was literally 500 feet from the stadium so I got to take the car) and the rain just barely held off long enough for us to get our session in. And when I say just barely- I really mean it. You can see a few drops in some of the pictures.

Jane’s girls were soooo cute (love that red hair and blue eyes- just like their mommy!) and while I was warned that they were very quiet and super shy, I didn’t get any of that from them. Within the first 5 minutes of our session they were all chatty, animated, giggly and so much fun! I’d think they had a great time- I know I did!

Lovely family!Love in the rain. Ahhhh….Sisters with secrets. Love the Tiffany blue chair with the coral dresses. Great call Jane! Thanks for braving the rain, wet grass and crazy photographer from NY!

    10 for Tuesday (on Wednesday)

    So I’m a little behind…not new news.

    1. Timmy made his big commercial debut. This was the shoot we did up at an elementary school in CT (that it took us 5hrs to get to) for Carhartt. It was a really fun shoot and the resulting commercial is super cute. Timmy doesn’t get a lot of airtime, but there’s still some of him at :08 and again at :30.

    2. I posted on my bsquared Facebook page, but I know not all of you are on Facebook. bsquared will be in California and Arizona this summer. Here are the dates, please shoot me a message if you’re interested in a session out that way. I’d love to photograph a few families out there- totally new scenery and locations make me happy!! (you know, if I survive the flights!)

    San Francisco 8/3-5
    Los Angeles 8/6 daytime only
    San Diego 8/7-8/8
LA again 8/9 (may not be available this day. plans still not settled)
    Phoenix AZ 8/10-12

    3. Feeling the need to do something for the families in Oklahoma. Thinking about what exactly is the best way to donate, but I think I’ll send some $ or gift cards. Does anyone know of any direct-type contacts out there? (a church or other local organization?) I don’t like sending to the Red Cross as I want to be sure the donation goes directly to the people who need it. After the whole Sandy experience here, I’ve heard from a lot of people who were in need of help didn’t get what they needed from the RC. If you have any direct contacts or know of any local places that are accepting donations (and are trustworthy) please let me know? Thanks.

    4. Yeah, this was from Fathers Day of last year. Figured I should get it posted before this year’s Fathers Day rolls around.

    5. One of my bsquared friends let me know that the Jake is born video isn’t working anymore, so I re-uploaded it and here it is again.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zt_7eFVwKj8&feature=youtu.be

    6. So, Jodi Arias. She is either some kind of evil genius (saying she wants the death penalty and then she doesn’t. So maybe using reverse psychology will get her whatever it is that she actually wants.) or is bringing the game of crazy to an entirely new level. I have yet to decide. But that allocution yesterday was….something.

    7. And here is a snapshot from last summer’s town fireworks. Hanging at the Firehouse after shooting a wedding. And again, figured I should post it before this year’s fireworks have come and gone too.

    8. I have 4 senior sessions booked in the next few weeks- 2 girls and 2 boys. So excited to rock these out in some cool locations with awesome graduating high school seniors. I will post the pictures just as quick as I can once the shoots are done. Now if the weather is cooperative, that would be a huge step in the right direction.

    9. Some older ones of Timmy and his crazy hair (I think these were from January or so. When he still had teeth.). The kid consistently cracks himself up. I don’t know if you saw the conversation between him and Patrick yesterday that I posted on Facebook. But it was worth repeating, so here you go:

kids are funny. Patrick’s watching Timmy and his friend outside and the conversation goes:
P: Let’s make a deal (on what to play)
T: No, no deals! (being bratty)
P: Watch it Timmy or else I’m going to make you go upstairs and sit in your room alone.
T (to me standing in the door): Can he even DO that??

    10. Can’t even believe that the school year is almost over and its time for the beach. We’re setting up the locker this weekend for our 14th summer at Sun & Surf. Just hoping the weather cooperates. I need to get out of the pollen-ridden town and head to the pollen-free beach for a few hours at least. My eyeballs are miserable.

    timmy’s magazine debut

Last summer I took a photo workshop with the absolutely amazing Zoe Berkovic. We became friends (she really likes my cursing and zombie obsession!) and when she put a casting call out for a size 7 boy for an editorial shoot on Facebook, I barely restrained myself from jumping thru the computer to post “I HAVE A SIZE 7 BOY!!!!!”. Zoe was shooting an editorial spread for the brand new Teresa & Thomas magazine up in Big Indian, NY (which is like a 2.5hr + drive, but I would’ve driven to Portugal for a Zoe shoot!) and Timmy was accepted as a model for the shoot. He made his big debut in the 1st edition of the magazine last week and of course, I am in lurve with the photos.

This was the start of the whole modeling thing for Timmy. He’s really liking it and we’re having fun.

This was one of his full page spreads:

The picture on the left was another in the magazine. I love his pissed off face in the one on the right- that was taken after the whispering picture when Zoe asked the boys to kiss the girl on the cheek. The left was another full page in the mag.
And the rest are all pictures that didn’t make it into the magazine, but are fantastic nonetheless. Zoe even took a few of me with my boy. Love! And a few shots of the magazine itself. Taking pictures of pictures are never as good as the real thing but wanted to show you the magazine.

This was the “story” he was in.

A big thank you to Zoe for the use of the photos, and to Stacie Fitzgerald for styling Timmy for the session.

the bsquared summer calendar- now open for booking

Well, in hopes that this post will somehow force summer to come (or at least spring. Can’t we have some weather that is not winter? Please?) because my great plan of purchasing flip flops a week ago didn’t work out so well. John said that leaving them out on the table wasn’t really quite the same as putting Mary in the window- hey, it was worth a shot. So I’m opening up the bsquared summer calendar thru August for booking. You can find that calendar here.

I opened it up yesterday to subscribers of the bsquared newsletter (which you can subscribe to if you aren’t already by clicking the b2 newsletter tab on the left side of your screen. It’s worth it to get a jump on the fall calendar before it goes ‘public’ this summer.) and a lot of dates went quickly, especially beach sessions. So it gives me hope that maybe other people think summer might actually come this year too. If you’re interested in booking a date, you can email me (at bethbeyrer at yahoo dot com), leave me a message here on the blog or on my Facebook bsquared page or text me or call me or send me smoke signals- whatever your preferred method of communication might be.  I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Dates are booked first come, first served.

And since I’ll be taking bsquared on the road a little bit this year (Boston for Memorial Day weekend. California, Arizona & Nevada in early August) I’m hoping to meet some new bsquared friends and take fabulous pictures in totally new (to me) locations. So hit me up if you live out that way or will be visiting the same time I will be and we’ll get you set up for a bsquared session. In a whole ‘nother state!!

And here’s a summer shot. Cause I know I’ve almost forgotten how it actually looks. (still have to scope out the beaches before the summer season- see where we will be shooting and what dunes are missing from Sandy. Going to be interesting.)

    disney 2013

Been putting off blogging these cause I figured they’d just make me pissed that I’m not there right this minute. And you know what? I was so right. And now I’m hungry too. Dammit.

And by the way, where the hell is spring???

The pictures are pretty self explanatory. Took my iPhone and the little camera. And that’s it. And that was totally fine.

Meeting Wreck It Ralph and Vanellope. Disappointed cause Ralph doesn’t sign autographs. Couldn’t they get him a stamp or something?Stare down with dad in Epcot.

With Olivia, Gavin & Jack at Jedi Training Academy. The Land at Epcot (but it really looks like Hemingford Home from The Stand). <first picture below

Twins like you. I have to find the older pictures of this where they were up to Chip & Dale’s elbows in height.

Ariel’s (or really Prince Eric’s) castle in the new Fantasyland.

The Beast’s castle. (in the new part of Fantasyland). Where the amazing Be Our Guest restaurant is.

It snows outside of the castle. Snow!!! (yeah, I don’t mind snow at all when it’s 70 degrees outside). The “west wing” of the restaurant/castle. It’s like you walked into the movie. Amazing!Thanking the “master” for dinner. One more of the enchanted rose. Timmy with Frozone & Uncle George (uh, I mean Mr. Incredible). And Nate, Colleen & their girls (ones a little camera shy) and us. As you can see, we didn’t have the best weather this trip (quite a few cold days, 2 with rain) but it was still a great time anyway! Not sure when our next trip back will be which is a big bummer (with the big boys starting high school next year at Regis, they probably won’t be too keen on them missing school for Disney. And the lines this year were long as hell some days of the trip- they’ve never been like that for us before. I really don’t like going during the break when the rest of the world is there too. So we’ll have to play it by ear for next year.). Thanks to all of you who followed me on Instagram and already saw most of these pictures and didn’t kill me for posting all the time.

p.s. you can still follow me on Instagram. There’s a link on the top of the blog.
