    three for thursday

I know, three’s a little lame but I just don’t have it in me for 13 today. Drove back and forth to Rhode Island yesterday for a session so I’m a little tired.

    1. The boys travel baseball team (The Royals) have been kicking butt and taking names. Well, except for two games where they lost. Like a lot. But they’ve really come a long way and have really been playing like a TEAM. Watching them get better has been fun for me (yes, I said it. But I still don’t like baseball- only the Royals!) With everyone’s summer schedule, we’ve had a few kids out from games and a few subs playing. I took this one after one of their great wins (against a team that has always beat them in the past).

Coaches Rob, John and John. Jack was particularly happy after pitching during the game!

    2. We’re almost at 1,000 likes over on the bsquared Facebook page!! Only 5 away! Thank you so much to everyone who has already liked it, and if you haven’t yet and you feel like it, please go over and like bsquared too. There will be HUGE giveaways to celebrate the 1,000 like milestone- but they’re a surprise. Really,  really good surprises.

    3. I’ve been getting several emails and calls about the fall calendar. I’ll be opening that up in mid August, so be on the lookout for that. If you sign up for the bsquared newsletter over on your left, you’ll be sure to receive all the calendar updates and all the other bsquared news.

Be back tomorrow with a better blog post. Have a great day!

    miscellaneous monday

I’m really behind on editing sessions so you’ll just have to bear with me for today for a general post. And please note the pictures below have pretty much absolutely nothing to do with the writing.

    1. With the boys home all summer, the crazy shooting schedule, baseball, and just life I’m running about 3 weeks from session to gallery. All of you waiting for your pictures, just know I’ve been staying right in that 3 week window and I’m doing everything I can to get your pictures to you as soon as possible. A few newborns in there as well always jump the line.

    2. This weekend was totally nuts. All in a good way though. Had my brother in law’s 40th birthday party on Friday night, shot a bbq for my bride and groom on Saturday then rushed to get home take my 3rd shower of the day (holy hotness around here!!) and go to a Howard Jones concert at the Paramount in Huntington (awesome!!) More on the concert in another post soon (but at this rate soon may be August). Then shot a fantastic and fun wedding all day today (with sweat in places that are just unmentionable) and rushed back home to make it to the annual fireworks display. And bits of editing in there whenever I had 5 free minutes.

    3. I’ve had a few people ask me about my fall calendar. I’ll be opening up the September thru November calendar in mid August. I know that’s a little later than normal, but with the boys crazy schedule with travel baseball and after school stuff, I’m trying to wait as long as I can to see what their schedule might look like for the fall. So keep your eye on the blog and bsquared on Facebook to make sure you grab a date before they’re gone. Fall goes super fast! Early bird gets the worm. Or crab.

Attempting pilates today (after shooting a wedding all day yesterday. should be interesting.) and hoping to get down to the beach for a bit since I missed it all weekend. And hoping its a little cooler out. I think I have no sweat left.

work? fun? a little of both

Some pictures of me (taken by Kate) and Kate (taken by me) of us hard at work. We definitely have fun while shooting weddings together! (if you want to visit Kate’s amazing site, you can find her at Kate Meyer Photography. Her shots of bands in concert are especially amazing and it never fails that when she shoots my favorites, they always play “my” song while she’s in the press pit. So I’m constantly jealous!

    oh, it’s summer alright

With temps in the upper 90’s around here yesterday and today, it’s definitely officially summer. Even though school isn’t done yet (that happens tomorrow). Timmy wanted me to break out the sprinkler- you know, the cool back and forth one- but of course it was nowhere to be found. So I got out the only remaining sprinkler in the garage and we made do with that.

Hope you are all staying cool today.
