    Boo!

Img_3932rcmask Getting ready for Halloween. Finally, the weather here is starting to feel like it might actually be fall. We were in shorts and t-shirts every day until yesterday. Now I’m freezing. Ok, so it’s really not all that cold out, I’m just freezing if it’s not 80 degrees out. Img_3935rc

Img_4286sc Off to Karen Russell’s photography class in PA tommorrow. Can’t wait!!

And here is Timmy driving around in his "pumpkin car" . See what I mean about the t-shirts. These were from earlier this week. Img_4302sc

    Hey! New Toys!

For me! For my birthday in September my great friend Maureen got me a gift certificate to a website called www.pinkinkstudios.com. They have great actions, masks, frames, texture overlays and stuff for photoshop. I did some shopping last night and got some really cool new stuff. Spent part of today playing with my new toys. 2007outeast_040rctextframe 31mask4 Back2school_045dirtymask 5442frame23

#1. Dead end- urban texture with frame

    #2. boys on stairs- mask

#3. timmy on step- dirty frame

#4. timmy on beach- frame and desaturated.

They are all so cool. I just have to be careful not to go overboard and use them on EVERYTHING. I think I might be ordering a new canvas or two from my favorite museum gallery wrapped canvas supplier www.canvasondemand.com. I think the boys on the stairs would look so cool on a huge canvas with the brush stroke looking edges.

I had a photoshoot scheduled for today, but got rained out. Rescheduled for Sunday, I hope it’s nice by then. The photography show in NYC on Saturday was so. totally. cool. I left a serious trail of drool and envy around Javits. The whole thing was so great- so interesting to see all the different products out there. I loved the lensbaby (seriously cool stuff- a lens set on a bunch of springs that gives such blur except for one little spot in focus), I want Mark at the camera store to get satin finish paper (he has metallic coming in soon, which I also love). The make it yourself photobooks are super cool and he has a bunch of those coming in soon too. Highly reccommend those. So cute. But the lenses…oh, the lenses! I spent a few hundred thousand dollars (all in my head of course) on all the L glass I could see, a few new camera bodies, some accessories, and a ton of new programs from Adobe for post processing to round out the package. Oh, to dream….

This Saturday, I am heading to Pennsylvania for the day (yes, the day only) to take a photography class with one of my heros- Karen Russell. She is a scrapbooker and scrapbook designer first and foremost but has a background in photography and takes the most excellent pictures. And she has such a great way of explaining things so that I can understand and apply it. I took a scrapbook class taught by Karen in Conneticut a few months ago with my friend Beth. We drove 2hrs to that one and home the same day. But it was so worth it. So for the class on Saturday we are going to have to be on the road at around 6am (going with Beth again). So you know I must really love her classes. I don’t get up that early. EVER.

    Limited space left!

Sounds like such an advertisement, right?? But seriously, thank you to everyone who has asked me to do a shoot for them recently. Seems like my little photography gig has really exploded lately. A very good thing, but SO busy. So thank you to everyone who is spreading the word about bsquared photography!

However, all this business is really, really reducing the session dates I have left before Christmas. So if you are interested in booking a shoot with me before Christmas for cards, or for a full shoot, you might want to hurry and do that NOW. The weekends between now and Christmas are quickly dissapearing, and I only have a few spots left. During the week, I do still have some availability, but even that is getting booked quickly.

I will be offering sessions for Christmas cards and full shoots up until the weekend of December 15th/16th with a guarantee that your pictures or cards will be ready before Christmas. It will be tight if you want to do that weekend, but still doable.

So if you know of anyone who is interested, or you are looking to book, please do so soon. I will do my best to fit you in before the "Christmas deadline". Portraits make a fabulous Christmas gift for family. Hope to hear from you soon. You can email me at bbeyrer1@optonline.net.

    Thanks everyone!Xmas15_copy A Card sample:

    the “mor” family

This adorable little girl is one of Timmy’s very best friends. I just love her and her family. Which works out well, since at this rate we are going to be in-laws sometime in the future. I have become good friends with her mom. I even have her drinking the "scrapbook kool-aid"! And she has a real talent for that! We have had lots of fun scrapping while the kids are in school or at my class. We had a great photoshoot late this afternoon and it went super. As you can see, mom is pregnant and will be finding out really soon (like tommorrow) if she is expecting a boy or girl. I can’t wait!!! She promised that we can go shopping together- and really, if you are not having the baby yourself, how much fun can you have helping a friend spend her money on adorable baby stuff!!

We had a great shoot and I think even Dad had a good time. Well, maybe not GOOD, but not bad. I’m just glad he dosen’t hate me (like all the other husbands) because of the scrapbooking (and I must admit I got mom hooked on photography-not a cheap hobby either!) and the photography. The best part (besides the good pictures)? We ended up having an impromptu dinner over here from a good local rib place. Yum. Timmy couldn’t have been any happier that his best buddy was here to play!Img_4929 Img_4995rc Img_5008rc

I know there are a lot of pictures posted, but I have so many favorites (and because I know them so well) that I just couldn’t choose.

    the “arl” family

Had a photoshoot this morning for another lovely family over at my new favorite spot. Had a great time with this group. Love that mom and dad were so easy going and the boys were great. They were SO happy to get out of the dressier clothes and into the sports gear. And they loved the jumping. Img_4430sc Img_4641sc Img_4711scAnd the wrestling. Oh boy, there sure was a lot of wrestling. But I let them go at it cause it was all in good fun, they got loose, and I guessed (correctly according to mom) that this was the way it is at home.  Img_4722scI laughed so hard taking the picture above with the parents holding hands and the boys wrestling on the ground behind them. Img_4746sc Hope you guys like the pictures, too.
