the cos family
My second shoot for this "barbie & ken" family. The first time we met was back in October or November when their little girl was even littler. She is just the most petite and cute little tiny thing. She was a real trooper considering the poor girl didn’t really like the sand (well, she didn’t like the sand ON her). So there was a lot of brushing off and cleaning up ongoing. We had a little game where she would stick her finger in the sand, say "uh oh" and have me wipe it off. And she said "tank u" in the sweetest little voice every time.

a little business, a little fun
Business first to get that out of the way:
1. Just a friendly reminder- as of 7/1/08, my prices increase by $25. (photoshoot $150, party for 2hrs $250- travel not included in either fee)If you are interested in booking a shoot with me and you do so before 7/1/08 (the shoot itself does not have to be prior to 7/1, just the booking), the prices are as is.
2. I only have a few more summer weekend shoot dates/times available. So, if you are looking for a summer weekend session, you might want to consider booking it now. As of this minute, these are the weekend dates/times available thru September 1st, 2008:
Sunday, June 29th 5pm or later
Saturday, July 12th morning only
Sunday, July 13th anytime
Saturday, July 26th anytime
Sunday, July 27th morning only
I will not be booking anymore sessions during the month of August, so if you are looking for summer, these are the only weekend dates left. Weekdays are open but subject to availability.
3. There are still a number of weekend time slots available in September and October. However, November weekends are booking up really quickly with only limited spaces left already. If you are interested in a November weekend shoot, you might want to book now. Plenty of weekday spots are available in September, October, and November.
4. In order to avoid the "Christmas Crush" of last year, if you’d like a photoshoot with the purpose of having the images as holiday gifts and/or cards made from the images FOR CHRISTMAS or HANNUKAH or NEW YEARS you must have your holiday photoshoot completed by Tuesday, December 9th to ensure holiday delivery. I will not be booking any shoots between December 20th, 2008 and January 10th, 2009.
5. As previously mentioned, I am working with a new card printer this year who is just phenomenal! I will be offering real folding cards in various sizes, including trifold cards, and accordian cards- all custom made with the photos of your choice from your shoot, along with your choice of designs, fonts, colors, finishes, and well, custom everything! I’ll be posting some samples of the trifolds at the end of July along with pricing information. I will still be working with Rockville Camera as last year and creating custom photocards there as well. So you will have your pick of tons of cards this year! And don’t forget, if you are booking a mini session, you will receive a $10 credit toward your card order (from either printer).
6. One final thing…an ammendment to the "growing up squared" plan. I’ve changed things around a bit –so instead of having 4 shoots during a calendar year (jan-dec), you can do your 4 shoots in the plan anytime you’d like within a year of purchase. If you’d like to do 4 in 4 months, great. If you’d like to spread them out, that’s great too. Or anywhere in between. As long as you complete all 4 shoots within one year of purchasing the plan, it’s all good.
The 4 shoots still do not include parties or additional family members. The growing up squared plan shoots remain as full sessions for your immediate family over one year. As of 7/1/08, the fee for the growing up squared plan will be $500.00 for your 4 sessions, payable at the first session. You will still receive the same $100 savings then if you were to book 4 shoots seperately.
Fewf (as in phew-but thats how the boys would say it)…that was a lot of business. Now on to some fun pictures. Took these at the park the other day with the boys just goofin around. Patrick took the ones of Timmy & me. He’s pretty good, no? Warning: A ton of pictures ahead.

Tons of Turn
The band has been very busy lately, therefore I have been too. They are gearing up hard for their big show (the final 13 bands out of 2,000) at Webster Hall this Saturday 6/28. If they win, they are headed to Germany to play at a music festival in August in front of about 100,000 people. Come down to Webster Hall on Saturday at 5pm to show them some love. They absolutely deserve it! If you want to hear some of their music, you can find them at www.rocktheturn.com
Been following them all over the place, shooting away. Here are some fav shots from the three most recent events I shot for them; their radio appearance on WMJC 94.3 (the were live on the radio last night- but you can click here http://unlabeledmusic.net/engine/ to hear the show online. Mayday is my new favorite favorite! Seriously, you gotta listen.) Then their party with some new whole band shots, and finally some shots from the street fair in town on Sunday. There are three new albums on the left with all the pictures in them, so take a peek if you’d like.
The radio show was so fun (cool to be in on the inner workings of a radio show) and the DJ who did the interview used to be on my favorite station which is now off the air. WLIR. They played the BEST alternative stuff and it’s all I listened to in high school and college (well, when I was home from college). And I totally remembered him, too. Rob Rush. He was nice as could be.
A funny story from this one. It may be one of those "you had to be there" but Pat decided he was going to be photographed with a fork all the time. So one of his friends said that once they are famous, girls would be throwing forks up on the stage at him instead of underwear. Then I said you could get shirts that said "I forked Pat!"
And some from the street fair yesterday. Pat actually sang (he usually dosen’t too often) and I even caught it. Along with some new goofy faces. Brian has been playing shows like crazy- bars, promotional events, etc. He’s working so hard and really deserves all the sucess that will be coming his way. However, all this singing and playing brought out the mommy in me and I had to tell him that he’d better rest up before the big show. Couldn’t help it. Sorry, B.
Really, they are just a great bunch of guys and seriously talented. I am having the most fun being "with the band". Thanks guys (you too Geoff and Uncle Bro) for everything!!
And one other thing…HI UNCLE JERRY (aka officer friendly)!!!

perfect.
Just love it when uploading the pictures and you come across something that looks like this:
Yeah, you know you love him, too! Can this kid pose or what. Perfect.

Brian of The Turn
Brian did an acoustic set at a local bar (RJ Daniels) last weekend, so I actually took John with me. Those of you who know John, know not much impresses him…but he was way impressed! He got to meet Brian’s family and listen to Brian for a while so that was nice for all of us. And he really, really liked it. Enough to go back and listen to him/them again! Believe me, it’s a big deal!
Anyway, Brian did a terrific job that night singing lots of hits and some great Turn songs as well. Next up for the Turn- a live radio show! They are going to be featured on a local station WMJC 94.3 on a show called "unlabled", where unsigned bands play and are interviews. If you are local to Farmingdale, the show will be broadcast this Sunday 6/22 at 10pm. If you want to listen to it online Sunday (or whenever) the website is http://unlabeledmusic.net/engine/ Pictures from the radio coming soon…
