the double 50th anniversary party
What an amazing celebration! Two couples (the brides are sisters) celebrating their 50th wedding anniversaries. Together. With allllll their families. Such a happy occasion and I was so excited to be able to capture it. I mean 50 years. 50. That is a long time, and they both looked so happy and in love.
The two brides.
Some of the grandkids. And kids. And other family members.
This shot is only of the 1st cousins. That is a LOT of people. And it took me climbing up on a chair to take it. But…we didn’t just stop at this shot, we actually got one with all of the first cousins PLUS their spouses. So just double this picture.
Time to get the party on!
Love the tears in the eyes (of most everyone there) during the toasts by the couples’ sons.
Wouldn’t be a party without a cake. (and a really beautiful one at that).
Congratulations to all of you. And thank you for letting me share in your day. You were a joy to photograph!
Hope you enjoy all the pictures.

i got nothin.
for today. Sorry. Been working on between 4-6 hours of sleep a night and it has totally caught up with me and kicked my ass. Hard. Working on editing about 5 different shoots so should have lots to show you soon. But for now, it’s only this one picture (of a sunny warm day, on a rainy cold day).
Do need to mention that the tree in the pictures reminds me of a LOST tree. Just missing the smoke monster. Cannot wait for that show to start again, so soon!
Had a shoot in NYC yesterday that totally rocked. That one coming soon too.
Happy freakin Monday. Blech.

you are here.
For whatever reason, signs that say ‘you are here’ make me happy. If we’re going deep, maybe it’s a reminder that we are all here for a reason. That we should live in the present. Or (not deep, just practical) just so I know I’m not entirely lost.
And a sign like that made me extra happy- being at my alma mater — University of Miami on our trip to Florida. We were originally on our way down to Miami Metro Zoo, but it was late and chilly so we ended up just stopping at campus and walking around. And shopping, of course.
So, this is the campus. No, really. It is. It looks like a country club or an island resort, but it’s campus. And maybe that’s why I got a 1.74 GPA and Mono my first semester. (totally true.)
I did have a really nice tan, though. Spent a lot of time at the pool laying out when I should have been in class. Or if not at the pool, on the ledge of the dorm. Yeah, the ledge 8 stories above the ground with no railings where we had no business being? Yeah, there.
The lobby of my dorm for the 1st two years at Miami (then moved off campus). And the view on the walk to class. When I actually went to class, that is.
I mean seriously people- can you blame me? Who can go to class when it looks like this outside in the middle of the winter.
And those damn chickenduck things who were so ugly (and still are) and pooped all over the walkways all the time. Ugh.
Really, really looking forward to going back down with Robin (my suitemate and bff from Miami) in March and visiting the rest of campus and some other old Miami places!! No doubt there will be pictures.

the evan suprise 30th birthday
It’s just party central here on the bsquared blog the last few days. Weddings, birthday celebrations, it’s all good. Still have a double 50th anniversary to edit and blog so be on the lookout for that soon. Party central, I’m telling ya.
I had done some work on a thank you card for J & S’s wedding (I didn’t take the pictures, just made the card) and was so excited when she got in touch with me to shoot the party that she put together for her husband’s 30th birthday. I knew it would be so fabulous from start to end with every detail perfect. And it was.
The surprise was pulled off without a hitch. From getting the text that he arrived to everyone yelling- he had no idea!
Some shots of the guests and details. Enjoy the top to bottom fabulousness of the party. I’m sure you’ll recognize several of the guests from other blog posts.
Thanks J and S for letting me photograph your evening. I had a great time and J- get started on that party planning business. Seriously.

z & a’s 40 (and fabulous) birthday dinner
Before I write anything else, I just wanted to point out that they are, in fact, identical twins. I am saying this because a few months back a blog stalker to whom I am related (no names- mom) saw Andrea’s pictures on the blog at her son’s communion. This person (mom) then called me and said “hey, that girl on the blog is so pretty and looks so much like zoraida!” Ummm, yeah. That might be because she is Zoraida’s identical twin? Just sayin, mom.
Anyway, the sisters celebrated their fabulous 40th birthday party at Besito mexican restaurant in Huntington with a dinner for family. Had to squeeze in a teeny tiny shoot for the birthday girls in all their birthday awesomeness.
What are you girls up to? Especially you Z- what’s with the knife??
Totally fabulous! Rawr.
Some of the family.
Thanks for asking me to come and take some pictures at your party. You girls are seriously great and I wish you the happiest 40th year!
