    a date with Timmy

Back in May, Timmy and I had a date day/night to celebrate his graduation from Preschool. We went into the city, saw the Lion King (which he LOVED) and then went to ‘the giant toy store’ (Toys R Us in Times Square, and Bubba Gump’s for dinner. It was a great date with my great boy.

Sorry about the picture quality (only brought the point n shoot).

    adventures in Connecticut

As my blog stalkers know, we went to Connecticut this week to get 8 teeth from Jack and Patrick pulled. In Connecticut. Completely worth the 1.5 hour drive. The oral surgeon was awesome, so great with the boys, and a real pro at his job. He put them under with a little nitrous oxide (they were out for no more than 3 minutes each) and pulled out 4 teeth from each of them. No novicaine, no problems.

Here they are looking drugged, with their little bags of gauze pads each.

And a little over one hour later with several gauze changes…

Seeing Eoin and Aunt Robin perked them right up and they were their own happy selves again, just less a few teeth! As an added bonus, I got to take some MORE pictures of Eoin (twice in a week, it’s a record for us for sure!) and visit with Robin. He’s just yum!!We bought Eoin a wagon for his birthday (a little belatedly) and Timmy really ‘helped’ us put it together while the big boys watched/played with Eoin and then played Call of Duty on Aunt Robin and Uncle Joe’s playstation. They were in heaven. Told you he was yum! Oh, I have to get back there again to do some more cheek squeeeeeeeeeeezing. Eoin went in for a nap, and after 2+ hours Robin and I (and Timmy) finished the wagon, after a little sushi break of course. It’s like the Mercedes of wagons…And Jack snapped one of us too. Thanks, dude! (ok, I know my hair is a little frizzy but it was like 1000% humidity and we were sweating from wagon assembly). Love you Rob!! And those were our adventures in Connecticut.

    vince & michael’s wedding

I had the pleasure of photographing my first gay wedding up in Connecticut last week and I’m happy to be able to share a few pictures with you. But only a few, as they are saving up the ceremony pictures and portraits for display at their reception to be held in August (which I will also be photographing!)

Ok, really…I have to get one of those shirts. They are awesome!!

The ceremony was held at the Green Rocks Inn in Ridgefield, CT. And it was so lovely, calm, and welcoming there. The ladies who run it were absolutely fantastic and wonderful, without a detail missed from anything- the ceremony, the grounds, the decor inside, and their total love of what they do. I worked with Vince (on the right) in my other life back at Jimlar and was so happy when he told me he was marrying Michael. And that he wanted me to photograph everything!! They make a great couple and are so perfect for eachother. They couldn’t have been more happy and were so thrilled to be able to get legally married. The happy couple. The ceremony was beautiful and perfect. And they were so handsome and photogenic. After the reception in August, I’ll be able to post some of those ceremony pictures too, so stay tuned.  I just wanted to add that if any of my blog readers/stalkers have anything negative to say about gay marraige, I would appreciate it very much if you would refrain from posting it on the blog. Vince (and now Michael too) are my friends and (obviously) I am very supportive of gay marriage and believe everyone should have the same rights. Of course everyone is welcome to their opinion, I would just like to have only positive, supportive comments here on the blog for them to read. Thank you!

    the mcbr family

A brand new to bsquared family here on the blog today. Their son is a little ray of sunshine, with smiles that just light up the entire neighborhood!

I love that they decided to do their shoot at home- adored their garden, with lots of nooks and crannies with lovely landscaping to choose from. And tons of hydrangeas- my favorite!!It was someone’s first birthday not too long before our shoot. So sweet.  Thanks for sharing your home and your smiles with me!
