    the powe girls {mini session}

    I’ve been photographing these girls…well, since before they were born. How’s that for a history? I’m loving watching them grow up. They get more and more delicious each shoot.

    Yeah, those eyes are amazing. And they are as sweet as they are cute.

    7 for Sunday

    1. My good friend Marianne has been training in massage therapy- more specifically in relaxing Yoga massage. I volunteered for a 90 minute massage (she has to practice  for a certain number of hours before she qualifies) and it was great! Very stretchy and relaxing. Well, except for when she hit me when I made her laugh during the massage. Yeah, I don’t think the masseusse is supposed to hit the client. Whatever…it was still good. Even with the bruises. Just kidding!

    2. So I have this online friend from Iowa. You know how people say that someone is a brother from another mother? Well, she’s sorta like that. We still haven’t met in real life and just chat on FB, but we have SO much in common. I’m trying to get her to come out here in the spring for a visit. We met over a crumpler bag I sold to her. Funny how the world works. Her husband thinks we’re insane.

    3. John got a new car this past week. A Mercedes (little) SUV. It’s really nice and I’m enjoying driving it. Which I do all weekend while going between shoots.

    4. We’re getting blog visitors from all over the world. Newest ones are from Australia, Phillipines, Malaysia, Portugal, Ireland, Hungary, Belarus, The Cayman Islands, Greece, India and Taiwan. Waving hi to all of you!

    5. Went to the Notre Dame vs. Navy game today at the Meadowlands with John, the boys, the boys friend Johnny and Robin & Joe. It was a great time, complete with tailgating and a great game where Notre Dame lost. As a UMiami alumni/fan, I just can’t like Notre Dame. Can’t do it. Sorry. Then we came home and I watched the UMiami vs. UNC game where Miami won! A great football game. And maybe there’s still hope for the Orange Bowl?

    6. I recently booked my very first delivery room/birth session. It’ll be in mid November in Connecticut and I cannot wait!!

    7. Off to 10 mini sessions today- all back to back. Should make for a fun and exciting day. And exhausting.

    jack’s pack

    A really quick post for today. Fell asleep on the couch last night at like 8:45pm, woke up at 4:15am and went upstairs to bed until 7. Think I was a little tired?

    Off for a field trip with Timmy’s class this morning so not going to be getting much work done now either. Whatever.

    Timmy’s BFF was diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenille Diabetes about 18 months ago. It’s been a really long and hard road for him and his family but if you met them today you would never know that. They have never let Jack feel different than everyone else and always made sure that everyone around him was only supportive and caring. I’m overwhelmed with love for this family- we’ve become such close friends and they are so good to us. Timmy and Jack are pretty much inseperable (in fact, they were at the same table in the same Kindergarten class, but they did have to get separated because they talked. All day long.) They are all so brave and strong and continue to amaze me every day with how they have handled and moved forward with Jack’s diagnosis.

    This is Jack’s nurse, Jen. She’s so fantastic and with him all day at school. All the kids in the class looooove her. She draws pictures of Pokemon guys for Jack and Timmy every day. You know she’s in for life. Timmy cannot STAND the sight of blood. Which makes it difficult when your BFF is diabetic and needs his sugar checked multiple times a day. He’s learned to just look away, but really? Get over it dude. Being lions like at the front of the NYC Library. And sleepy lions too.Everyone loved the cupcakes. A lot. Olivia(Timmy’s other BFF) especially loves Jen. She’s always around her and wants to hold her hand. She’s even made friends with her daughter. Love Brady. My girls!! Jen’s even taught me how to check Jack and use the pump to add insulin or calculate what to feed him when he’s low so I can have Jack over or take him out. Being that he and Timmy are always together I really HAVE to know how. Look out for a special fundraiser for JDRF from bsquared photography coming up soon.

    the costa family

    One of my favorite clients and a brand new favorite location. We met up just before closing time at Vanderbuilt Planetarium for a fantastic photoshoot. Not are they all gorgeous, the outfits were perfection and the amazing location made the whole thing look like something out of a magazine.

    This one just cracks me up.The littlest fashionista.The hills are alive….Theres actually a really ugly plant with smokestacks right outside the frame. Glad I could crop that out, it kinda ruined the mood.  Thanks for a great shoot and the heads up on a new awesome location!!
