    the boch family

A longtime friend and her family who I’ve photographed a few times in the past (and who’s youngest was Timmy’s communion partner down the aisle) chose a beach session this year. We really lucked out with the weather and a great time was had by all. Well, maybe except Dad who was missing a football game. Or maybe it was a baseball game.

the bodk family (a “be together” session)

I was so excited to meet and photograph the rest of this family, since I love photographing and hanging out with the part of the family that are already my clients! They decided to do an extended family session to celebrate their mom & dad’s 40th anniversary and since they have had no family photos in about 6 years! I hope Grandma & Big Ed can see the beautiful family they’ve created in the photos we took.

    The whole crew.

The original crew.Happy anniversary you two!The girls. The boys. As in my family, the girls are seriously outnumbered. Her baby girl is having a baby in the spring!“This is weird”. But funny!!Big Ed was not my biggest fan. To say the least. But he loves his girls!A little bit like twins these two.Take a picture with your mom, they said. It’ll be fun, they said. Yeah, this is the feeling of most teenage boys I photograph.
So nice meeting the rest of the family! Hope you had as much fun as I did!

    zac & sara- the ceremony

The next installment of the fabulous wedding of Zac & Sara (you can check out the past two parts here and here). I’m having so much fun reliving the day while editing their galleries. Again, a big thanks to Kate Meyer for being a rockstar second shooter so we get all the angles covered!

Zac had to be clean shaven before putting on his dress blues, the second “outfit” of the day.

The girls hanging out until the start of the ceremony. And people just chilling on the beach. He’s got his “lets do this” face on.Here comes the bride. Love these next two shots so much.Proud daddy/best man. They had the most beautiful and funny vows written.

Next and final installment will be the reception. Stay tuned…

sailing into fall (more like hurdling thru space out of control into fall)

So far everyone who has seen me in person this morning has asked if I’m okay. The only thing I can say about that is “it’s busy season!”. So yes, I’m fine but completely in over my head and so beyond tired. If you do see me in person over the next 3 months, just expect that I’m going to look exhausted, disheveled (more than normal), and  like that proverbial deer in the headlights. Glad our December Florida vacation is booked and I can just keep my eye on that, but just have to make it thru busy season first.

Editing like a psycho, doing a million shoots, processing client orders, packing orders, blogging, getting out the last of the welcome packets, bookkeeping, and working on some projects for later this year all at once. Plus, dealing with all the things that having two boys as freshmen in high school in NYC brings (in a brand new school that is extremely challenging) and a 3rd grader with an occasionally busy modeling career and my head is about to pop right the eff off. So, just be kind and lie and say I don’t look like death warmed over even when I do.

Tomorrow a real blog post is coming your way but today Timmy and I are off to Brooklyn for him to film a commercial. Ya know, in my free time.

    the mull family

Impossibly good looking (the whole family) and super kind. How I got so lucky with my clients I’ll never know. When I did their pictures two years ago, it was just the three of them. They’ve since added another little girl to their family. And I had to get the “crib picture” for their new little girl too- especially  since I saw the original one displayed in their new home. Love it when that happens!!

And yes, they belong on a magazine cover.

The new crib picture. Aaaaaand, we’re done.
