    shea’s senior session {part 1}

    There were so many awesome shots/outfits/poses with this gorgeous senior that I’m going to have to do the post in two parts. So first part is the sports & college portion. Shea is a very talented (top 50) field hockey AND lacrosse player and she will be attending Vanderbuilt for lacrosse in the fall. So obviously, smart as a whip too. It must also be nice going into senior year all settled with where she’s going next year!

    a project that’s yum {part 14}

    In this delicious batch, we have a bruschetta tomato platter, rosemary croutons, a dutch baby with blueberries, Vanilla ice cream with honey, frozen basil with olive oil ( good for cooking with I’m told- not something I would know first hand of course), avocado toast, sourdough bread with starter and discard, & a few different herbed butters. Only one more installment of deliciousness until the project is wrapped up. What am I going to do without my taste-testing days??

    a project that’s yum {beach picnic edition}

    After an attack by the most annoying, rotten birds ever that stole all of the food (not even kidding) while we were setting everything up, we put the chef’s vision together on the beach for a little picnic. And then I ate all the pancakes. Tell me that little seating arrangement under the umbrella isn’t calling you with a glass of wine (or several) and a good book. If there’s Brie, then that’s for me!

    Respect The Game basketball {week 1}

    Wow, photographing basketball is going to take some skill building on my part! That is way faster than baseball with so much going on at once. Challenge accepted! My friend Keith asked me to come photograph his newest basketball venture with his partner Ken, so I have a standing gig for RTG weekly. There’s going to be multiple games weekly, with MVPs each game, playoffs, etc. Looking forward to upping my game (photography. not basketball. never playing!) and getting lots of good action shots of these cuties!     a project that’s yum {farmer’s market edition}

    It’s that time of year again where I can’t post any of the family sessions I’m shooting because they’ll be used for Christmas cards and gifts. Don’t want to ruin any surprises. So it’s going to be a lot more food, sports, headshots and events around here for a while.

    We took a field trip to the local Sunday morning farmers market to photograph some of the deliciousness there that end up in a lot of the dishes I’ve been photographing. Apparently, people do a lot of things early in the morning. That’s still not the time of day for me, and even though we got to the market early (for me on a Sunday) it was apparently very late in the day for the shoppers and vendors. Can’t they have a midnight market??
