the arme family (well, most of them anyway)

When my friend Heidi asked me to come take some pictures of her and the kids (and the dog) to give to her husband Joe for his 50th birthday this week, of course I jumped at the chance. Superquick session and even faster turnaround needed to get the pictures ready in time to give to Joe. I heard he loved them so it was all worth it!

I’ve known this one since he was a year old. He completely towers over me now. Time does fly.Rachel, I told you I’d blog it if you made this face. Believe me now?The best subject!Love you guys! Happy 50th Joe!

    michael’s first communion

Handsome Michael made his first communion about 2 weeks ago and I was so happy to be asked to take some photos for him and his family. Their shoot was originally scheduled as a holiday session back in November but Sandy ruined that (and the fact that most of mom’s family lives in Breezy) so we did a communion session instead. It all works out in the end somehow.

    royals vs island trees

Like I said, this has become a communion/baseball blog. But thats okay, as long as the pictures are good, right? Another Royals game (at the Garden City complex) where the day started out all nice and warm and within a few innings (and the sun heading down) it was ffffffreezing again. Gotta just love springtime.

    elle’s communion

Another pretty communicant photographed at the Links. And although the earlier part of the day was gorgeous, about an hour before our session the clouds and fog rolled in and it dropped like 20 degrees. This is not been the year for good weather. But even a freezing little girl can put on a smile and brave the yuck weather for some pretty photos! At least the flowers were blooming.

The one on the left is very “mad men”, don’t you think? I don’t know if its the shape of the dress or the style of the couch but I totally get that vibe. Its always my favorite to see a little (or a lot) of personality shine through.
