    caroline’s communion

    I have to say that after like 10 years of photographing communions, it is the strangest thing to photograph them in fall. The flowers and foliage is like all wrong. But like everything else in 2020, we just have to make the best of it and go with what we have at the moment. At least it was warmish out and Caroline was lovely. Hoping they had a great day celebrating!

    anthony’s 1st communion

    A few days after the last communion I posted, handsome Anthony made his first communion at the same church. Another brand new to bsquared family that came to me thru Ava’s family. I just adored his missing teeth (so cute!!) and his big smiles. His grandparents were joining them for a luncheon after church and the photos, so they jumped in for a few shots as well. It was so nice meeting all of you and thank you for a mid-day full of smiles.

    ava’s 1st communion

    A brand new to bsquared family that I had the pleasure of photographing for their daughter’s rescheduled first communion. Their church is back to having communions for all the kids who missed out on their previously scheduled dates because of the stupid pandemic. Small services, but it’s a start. Ava looked beautiful in her dress (the pretty sleeves are my favorite part and hers too!) and her whole family was so great. It’s so funny how she has her mom’s coloring and her brother has his dads! A big thank you to my client/friend Julie for the referral!

    dylan’s 1st communion {make-up}

    I feel like every post now begins with “because of the pandemic” so, yeah. Because of the pandemic, all communions that were supposed to be in the spring were canceled and therefore all of the shoots that went along with them were also canceled. But some of my clients didn’t want to wait for the rescheduled communion dates (it was only recently announced they’re now going to be in october) and opted to do the shoot now. With kids growing like crazy, who knows what suits or dresses may fit by October! Dylan was a trouper for our session (he is not a fan of photos) but i even got the “hey, how YOU doin” eye for one! Which is of course my favorite!!

    andrew’s 1st communion

    You know how time passes so quickly without you really noticing? Well, I photographed this family for his sister’s communion a number of years ago and he was just a little guy. So when mom got in touch with me asking me to photograph Andrew for HIS first communion, I couldn’t even believe it. That went super fast! I hope he had some fun with me during his session, I definitely did!
