    a run to remember 2024

Another fabulous event put on by Kenny & family benefitting many charities and foundations in our area (and beyond). It gets a little bigger every year with more runners and more foundations to donate to. I’m so proud of my friend for not only running 27 miles in 24 hours to honor the last 27 days of his brother’s life that he lost to cancer, but for being such a light to our community and people who are in need.

    the seaking run4life, year 2

My friends Kenny & Mary Ellen are amazing people. The kind that give back and want zero recognition. This was the 2nd year of their Run4Life fundraiser where Kenny (and others) run 27 miles in 24 hours to commemorate the last 27 days of his late brother’s life and raise funds for charities and causes close to their hearts. I heard it was a very well funded fundraiser, but more on that in a future post. Enjoy some pictures from back in April (where it was a million degrees out and kids were in the pool!)

the pat agresti memorial softball tournament

I think this is my 3rd (possibly 4th but with covid screwing everything up, i totally lost count) year photographing this awesome event. I love shooting this day, it’s super fun and for a great cause! The foundation provided some really helpful support to people going thru hard times over the last year and with the great turnout for the softball game, they’ll be able to continue their awesome work in the community. Can’t wait till next year!

    kenny’s run2remember dinner

I’m hoping you’ll remember my good friend Kenny’s Run2Remember in honor of his brother Kevin and a few other local families who lost other family members in untimely passings. Kenny ran (along with lots of friends and family- some for parts, some for all) 27 miles over 24 hours with the goal of raising $27,000 to donate to these families’ foundations in conjunction with the Tommy Brull Foundation. (The number 27 is for the last 27 days of his late brother’s life). $7,000 went to EACH of these organizations to help others. Kenny has the biggest heart and is dedicated to giving back in rememberence of all of these very special people. I hope even more people participate and donate next year!

The 2nd annual Kevin Owen’s Sea King Run 4 Life

I’m so proud of my friend Kenny! This was his 2nd annual Run to Remember dedicated to the memory of his brother. He ran 27 miles in 24 hours (with runs at 4am, 8am, 12pm, 4pm, 8pm and 12am) to honor his late brother’s life taken too soon by cancer after a long and brave battle. This year they teamed up with a few local families and foundations in order to give back to the community as well. Although I did not run (shocking, I know) I did go over to take some pictures of the 4pm run and went back (just as a supporter, not a photographer) for the 12am run to see Kenny finish strong. Donations were made to foundations and causes close to their hearts, including Natalie’s Wings, the Tommy Brull Foundation, Dane Kasschau, The Fernandez Family, The Jamison Novello Scholarship. Kenny and his wife Mary Ellen are not only the best bsquared supporters, but amazing friends and people. Obviously!
