the crib flip & football playoffs

A new trick of Timmy’s that we were just introduced to on Sunday night. Didn’t even know he could do it. While John and I watched him we both said "well, that’s no good". (click on the picture below to see bigger). The crib flip is quite funny- he basically does a forward flip into the crib, laughing the whole time. He even explains it step by step as he’s doing it. "okay, you move the bench over. you climb up and put your foot here. you put your other foot here. heeheeeheeeee. then you go in. haaaahaaaaaahaaaaaaa! I did it!!" Luckily, I just purchased all his bedding for his new "big boy" room Cribflip at pottery barn kids on Friday. I am holding off on the bed until after Disney as I need the crutch of papi’s at Disney (Timmy and I discussed the fact that there will be no more papi’s when he gets a big boy bed) and I need him in the pack and play at Disney. No point doing it now. And I figure if there is going to be a lack of sleep due to new sleeping arrangements, I can handle it better during the week break from school- not having to be anywhere in the morning will be a plus. The breaking of the papi habit isn’t going to be as funny as the crib flip. He is very attached- he needs one for his nose (which he just holds on his nose) and one for his mouth every night. I remember when we took the papis away from the big boys when they were the same age- actually like a month or two older. They were all set to give the papis to the papi fairy in return for a great toy (I think it was a new rescue hero). All was fine until it was lights out and then the screaming started…."I can’t BREEEEEEEEEEEEEEATHE without it!!!!!" Like heroin addicts. It wasn’t pretty. But they’ve managed fine since around the third night without it.

In other weekend news…we stayed in our pajamas (the boys and I anyway, John had to work today) all day Sunday and Monday. It was niiiiice. It was so freaking cold here that I was walking around inside the house in a hat. Nice touch, huh? John said I looked like a homeless person. Img_7956x

John and the big boys watched the Giants/Packers playoff game on Sunday night. It was an exciting game (yes, I caught a little of it in between pictures) and there were a few "I can’t look" moments. John and Patrick were rooting for the Giants, but Jack HAS to be different and wanted the Packers.Img_7978sl Img_7981sl

He was a little dissapointed. Can you tell?
