    Cow Neck Penninsula Historical Society

A friend/past client is involved with the historical society and asked me to come take some pictures of their costume display before it was retired and all packed away. Something totally different for me to photograph which is always exciting for me! It included some really cool stuff, especially the costumes from The Great Gatsby that Leonardo DiCaprio & Tobey McGuire wore in the actual movie. I loved the wedding dresses (especially the Seersucker tux and the velvet wedding dress with fur collar). Lincoln’s coat and all of the parade gear of John Phillips Sousa was pretty cool too.

first day of junior (!?!?!) year

Only a week late on my post, but heres a picture of the boys (jack on the left, patrick on the right) first day of junior year at Regis. They’ve since made the Varsity Baseball team, changed debate forums and started the year off really well (and busy!). This is going to be one interesting year. For all of us.

And yes, I got up at like 6am to grab this shot before they got on the train (those of you who know me, know this is a big deal), and they are both waaaay taller than me now.

    semi-formal

The boys had their semi-formal on Saturday night and they actually let me take some photos (a rare occurrence these days) so I brought the big camera along to capture a few shots. They had a great time, they even danced. With their beautiful & sweet dates, how could they not?

    Jack & his date Taylor.

Patrick & his date Gianna, plus his friends Lyra and Teddy.

    jeannine’s boutique

One of my favorite stores in town, owned by a great friend (surprisingly, her name is Jeannine!) just launched the store’s website. Its a project that’s been a long time coming. She asked me to do some product photography for the site, so here are a bunch of shots of some of her products in the store. So excited to help out and have a little fun with some spring color on the blog today. Go check out the store in Rockville Centre, or her website at www.jeanninesboutique.com I promise you’ll love it, probably too much!!

“why would they give kids raisins?!?” halloween 2014

Sorry, but that was the best quote of the day from Timmy’s BFF Jack. Obviously, he was less than pleased with the “treat” selections at one house. Halloween was a great day (never-ending, but great) and we had lots of fun with friends trick or treating and at the annual parade at school. You can see yesterday’s Halloween scenes on the blog here if you’re so inclined.

Here are a TON of pix of my kid and all the kids I could catch yesterday. (he wasn’t sad, just trying to be tough to go with his costume).

James as Kane, Timmy & Chris as Ama’re.One of my most favorite teachers from school. My Chuck’s and my little friend Greyson’s chucks. Shoulda gotten a pic of us together besides our feet. There were a zillion and one Elsa’s, but this one is my favorite. And soooo pretty (she actually looks like Elsa!)This was not the raisin house. Candy break.Right before I broke into the bottle of much, much needed wine.
