renee & josh (and melissa, too!)
A new to bsquared family/couple, but not really totally new. I went to hs with Renee. And although they are currently living in PA, they were on Long Island for a visit and their photoshoot. They have never really had professional pix before but man, they worked the crap outta the camera. And best of all? I will be photographing Renee & Josh’s amazingly fabulous wedding this fall in a to-die for venue. Cannot wait to work with them again!! They’re getting married on a lovely tropical island very, very soon so send them your very best wishes for that!
Since I haven’t been blogging a ton, I figured I’d give you lots of photos to look at from this session.

A wonderful celebration for a wonderful and long married couple who are still so in love. So nice to see and photograph!

emily & nate
Emily contacted me a while back to let me know her husband Nate would be home on R&R from active duty in Southeast Asia (*edited to add: I mistakenly wrote Nate was deployed to Afghanistan. I get numerous calls from military families and guess I just mixed up his location, sorry). She found me thru Operation Love Reunited, but OpLove doesn’t include R&R in their free sessions so I decided to just do this session for them on me. Really, it’s the least I could do to thank him (& Emily) for his service! We met up at the Garden City Cathedral grounds for a mini session with their dog Webster.

Love these two shots- favorites for sure.
Webster is still a puppy (and the longest, all legs and tail puppy I’ve ever seen! Oh, and tongue.) and has the craziest amount of energy, but comes right over when called. And smiles for the camera.)
Oh, hello pretty.

kristen & raul- bbq
I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Kristen & Raul’s wedding a few weeks ago, but before the wedding day I got to meet lots of family and friends at Kristen’s brother & sister in law’s house for a bbq in their honor. It was a great way to start to get to know the bride & groom and their families & closest friends before the chaos and fun of the wedding day.
*edited to add that it was SO TOTALLY HOT on the day of the bbq. Like I can’t breathe hot. Like there is no air hot. Like I’m gonna die hot. Like worse than Africa hot. But everyone was having so much fun that it doesn’t even show in the pictures. Its a very good thing I was behind the camera though, cause it was not pretty. At all.
The lovely bride & groom.
In addition to my photographing the bbq, Kristen and her siblings arranged for me to take a family photo for her mom’s birthday. So here’s the whole family!
Raul, his brother, his mom & his bride.
And the extended family.

Mom & Dad and their 5 kids.

Mom and her BFF- they’ve been besties since they were little girls.
Cousins from Stockholm.
Cheers with Grandma! (that adorable little guy is the same baby that’s on my blog header at a few months old, smiling big for me!)

A few faces from the party that I just had to photograph!

The beautiful flower girl.
More from Kristen & Raul’s wedding coming to the blog soon. Still trying so hard to catch up! -
the doyl family
Big multigenerational sessions are always so interesting- I love watching how big families interact with each other, especially the cousins who might not see each other that often. Grandma had booked this session almost two years ago for her whole family- I love that she decided to do it and include everyone!
It started with these two…

They had these 4 “children”…
..and they ended up with these 12 grandchildren! Pretty awesome, huh?
A few shots of each family…

And everyone together!
I would be remiss if I didn’t give a shout out to Angela for assisting me during this session. Thanks so much for your help & making sure I photographed everyone!
