lexi’s first communion
The most last minute shoot I think I ever had, but turned out to be a favorite session so I think it was all just fine! Mom texted me from the hair salon where she was doing a trial run for Lexi’s hair for her communion for a quick session 2 hours later. Big, huge thanks to Penny at Emris Penny Salon for the referral. If you need highlights (she does mine) or an updo, or a blowout and cut, Penny is your go to!! The weather that day was rain and clouds all morning, and like 15 minutes before our session it was wall to wall sun. See, it was meant to be! And Lexi reminded me of one of my favorite movies- Curly Sue. Little girl with a big personality and really, really sweet. Hope your communion day is lovely!

marco’s 1st communion
And this awesome little guy concludes the 2015 bsquared communion season. Hope you all enjoyed the photos.
I know I normally don’t post at the end of the day, but my computer decided to take the big dirt nap today (yup, really) so I am posting now just to get this one in before it goes to the computer spa for whole new insides. For those of you who are waiting for their galleries, or have done shoots with me well, EVER, please don’t worry. Your photos are backed up in no fewer than 5 other locations besides my main iMac. So everything is safe and saved, and besides a short delay (hopefully short!!) on getting back to editing nothing is going to effect your photos.
Now check out Marco and family!

joe’s 1st communion
My good friend (late night confidant, fellow small business owner, sounding board, cookie maker extrodinaire) Colleen’s son, Joe made his 1st communion a few weeks ago and I stopped by to take a few quick photos for them to commemorate the day.

Attempting to photo bomb his sisters pictures.

dermott’s 1st communion
Another communion boy, in a year very heavy on boys. Story of my life. When I first photographed this family a number of years ago, you can bet I was nervous- 4 boys? (their little girl wasn’t born yet when I first started with them). 4 young boys, very close in age. But that shoot and all the ones that followed I found out what great kids they all are and have always enjoyed photographing them. They’re such an awesome family, I was so glad I got to spend a little time with them on the morning of Dermott’s day.

I feel like you get a good glimpse into their personalities here.

And their newest addition… The picture on the right kills me. The boy and the dog have the same grin!!

A little communion basketball. Sure, why not!?

timmy’s 1st communion
I’m a little sad this is my 3rd and last communion for this fantastic family, because we always have a great time and I got to be a part of their special days (and I’m really going to miss the “tree tradition” from the church grounds!). Timmy was a star on his day, and the whole family really sucked it up in the constant drizzle/mist we had that morning for their shoot. Hoping we’ll get to work together again for some other occasion, but enjoy the photos from this one!

Religious statue selfies. Its a thing.

I told him if he posed like this, I was totally posting it. So here ya go T.
