owen’s first communion
A new to bsquared family who met me up at the Cathedral reeeeeeeeally early the morning of Owen’s communion for some photos. We just missed the rain (it was misty and damp during, but actual rain drops within 5 minutes of the end of the shoot) and got some great shots. Loved these kids- so cute and fun! Even at 8am!! (Personally, I’m just so impressed that Mom was able to get three small kids up and fully dressed in their best clothes, hair done, and both grownups all put together and out the door all before 8am!)
Such a handsome guy!

Pretty mommy. Love the necklace!
Godparents.
Siblings (sooooo cute!)
How cute is this little angel?

Great getting to photograph all of you and a great way to start off a day! Still more communions to come… -
joseph’s first communion
Still in the thick of communion season posting and editing, so you’ll have to excuse the shortened narrative for this post. Joseph was NOT a fan of getting his picture taken but I think we got some pretty great stuff nonetheless. I’m betting you couldn’t tell that he wasn’t thrilled with the camera in this shot though. I think he was much happier once the tie and jacket (and shoes and socks) came off.
Great looking family. Joseph faked it sooo well!

His mom and aunt/godmother helping with the boutiniere.

Joseph’s little brother is quite a ham for the camera. So opposite!
And I couldn’t get enough of this little one’s curls. So, so cute!!
When a child who doesn’t really like to get his picture taken, asks for a picture (even in the shower) you oblige. He then hid in the ottoman/blanket box to escape having to take more pictures. A good sign that I was done for a little while.
So instead, you take some pictures of some pretty and willing subjects!
A few immediately following the mass.
And then party time!

Those cupcakes never stood a chance!

A few familiar faces.

My favorites from the day, for sure.
Joseph, thanks for tolerating me as much as you did! Hope the rest of the party was as much fun as the part I was there for! -
joanna’s first communion
Another new to bsquared family, and one that I already love! Such wonderful, sweet, kind kids and great parents. And a joy to photograph. I was happy!!
Gorgeous and fun? Fantastic combination!
Apparently, finding a mantilla for a child is very difficult, but her mom did find one online and wow….so worth it!!

There ended up being 2 bouquets so someone snagged the other one. Happened to match her dress perfectly.
And are you dying of the bowtie?!

When they brought me upstairs and I saw the window it just made the day even more perfect.
Thanks for a fantastic shoot. Hope the actual communion is wonderful! -
patrick’s first communion
Ok, so I wasn’t technically working this one, but they were at the same mass as my client and we were all invited to the party afterwards so I couldn’t very well NOT take pictures!! Thanks again Suzanne & Rob for the invite and for not caring that I showed up wiped out and in my sweats!! You guys are the best and I know everyone had a great time at the party! Congrats again to Patrick and so glad the boys and Robert hit it off!

Just happened to catch the one on the left thru the huge crowds. Love it!

Suzanne always helps me out by putting Mary in the window to get good weather- especially during communion season. She definitely works!!

katelyn’s first communion
A favorite family to photograph and always a joy to watch the girls grow up over the years. Katelyn looked lovely on her 1st communion day and had lots to celebrate.
Luckily, the rain just held off long enough for our pictures. It was disgusting and humid and overcast, but not raining.

Yes, I know. Cuteness off the charts!

A little communion spin.
Beautiful!!
Grandparents are always a welcome addition to the pictures. Especially when they do whatever they can behind the scenes to make the kids laugh!
