    emily’s first communion

I had photographed this family twice before and was looking forward to doing so again. The kids are so gorgeous and I was surprised by how much they’ve grown since our last shoot in the fall. Emily looked like a real princess (loved her dress) and was so well spoken when she did her reading in the mass. It was a really packed house in St. Agnes that day and I was so surprised by how composed she was up there in front of everybody. Great job, Emily!!

    How beautiful is she?

Little sister wasn’t thrilled with the picture taking process, but holding the flowers was definitely a help!Doesn’t mom (still) look like Julianne Moore? The closest thing I got to a picture of the 4 kids together. The little guy was just not having it!I love this shot so much. Just sums everything right up!The wind was an issue. Until it was blowing the right way.So composed. How proud does mom look? This is only half the class of kids who received their first communion. It was a popular day! Lots more communions coming…

    ronnie’s first communion

My second time photographing this great, happy family. My most recent shoot for them was when their middle daughter made her first communion last year. I was so happy that I got to do another shoot for them this year! Although the weather wasn’t that great it wasn’t raining and we were able to shoot outside with the whole family who came to celebrate Ronnie’s special day.

I love seeing the 3 of them always getting along so well. The whole family came to celebrate!Favorite picture of the day!Love the one on the right. He knows it’s his day and isn’t afraid to remind his sisters. Cousins.Love all the love! Great seeing all of you again!

    thomas’s communion

While mom started out as my stalker (for photography services), she and her family have definitely become a favorite bsquared family! Celebrating her 2nd oldest son’s first communion just gave me another excuse to book a shoot for them and take some pictures of their beautiful family. Get comfy- a lot of pictures coming up. Between the gorgeousness and the fantastically sharp focus I’ve been getting from my recalibrated cameras and lenses, there are just so many great ones to choose from.

Handsome communicant!I told them to look angry. If I was meeting them on the field, I’d be running the other way. It was his communion last year. Time flies! (the face he was making before the one on the right was hysterical. He cracked himself up!)Little J Crew model. And this little guy used to be SO shy and quiet. This year, he was a regular smiley chatterbox. The last time I saw her, she was a tiny little thing in a big Jets jersey. Beautiful baby!!Thomas was always SO excited about his little sister’s arrival when his mom was pregnant with her. Not much has changed!A tree full of monkeys (in jackets and ties. But monkeys nonetheless.)Oh my. Those eyes!!And it wouldn’t be a Kell family shoot without the communicant jumping on the trampoline. Thanks you guys for a great shoot!! Again!

    the calo communion- part 2

I have no doubt you’ll recognize this beauty from her communion portrait session I posted a few weeks back. Last weekend was her actual communion and I was so glad to be asked back for more pictures of the whole family and extended family. And a little of the party, too.

Stay tuned to the blog in the coming weeks- lots more communions to go.
