    7 for Sunday (on Monday)

    1. Still tons more Disney pictures to come as soon as I get around to editing them all. In the meantime, check out this adorable new Dooney & Burke bag I picked up at Disney. It just makes me smile and makes me happy everytime I carry it.

    2. Anyone interested in buying an almost brand new umbrella stroller? I bought it one day before leaving for Disney, used it for one week at Disney, and now have no further need for it. I purchased it for $80 and am selling it for $40. It’s still in perfect condition and comes with a carry bag. It weighs 11 lbs and folds easily. I’d rather not ship it, so you’d have to be able to pick it up. Email me at bethbeyrer@yahoo.com or leave a comment here if you are interested.

    3. Working on our family’s coffee table books (since I don’t scrapbook anymore, I now make up books with all of our family photos for each year and have them printed). I finished 2008 and am thru July of 2009 but still have all of 2010 to do. I’ll post some pictures of them when they are all done and printed. I’m hoping to have it done within the next two weeks. Probably overly ambitious but I’m going to give it a shot!

    4. The 2nd annual blood drive for my friend Rob Sullivan (his wife Suzanne is my co-host for the 80’s party next month) is coming up soon. I’m unable to donate blood so I’ll be there to take pictures again this year. Please consider donating blood. The blood bank can always use more!

    5. A little bsquared business- the calendar for May is almost completely booked with only 3 spots remaining for the month. If you are interested in booking a date in May, you might want to do that really soon.

    6. There are 4 bsquared pictures in this week’s local paper. I didn’t get credit on any of them, but they are all mine. And I’ll be photographing the RVC Education Foundation Gala again this year. Hope to see some of you there.

    7. I slept until 12:45pm on Sunday. Like the old days. Thanks JohnnyB! That was so nice!!

    afghanistan photos

    No, I didn’t go for Presidents Day or anything. When I sent the packages to the troops in Afghanistan, the unit I found was Marine Combat Camera. One of the Marines was nice enough to send me some pictures that they took via email to say thank you for the goodies I sent to them. Awesome, right?!

    And as much I’d love to go over and ‘play’ cameras with them, I’m much happier here at home- not in a war zone! Although some photoshoots here sometimes feel like I’m at war a little…

    Please keep all the soldiers fighting to keep us safe in your thoughts and prayers. I’ll be sending out some more boxes to other Marines in Afghanistan in March. Can’t wait!! Oh, and email me or leave a note here on the blog if you are interested in donating anything to include in the packages.

    33 days and counting…

    For those friends who know me in real life and those that follow me on FB, you can just skip this post cause I’m fairly certain your are sick of my sickness.

    This is what the kitchen has looked like (plus 2 other prescription bottles that have since been finished and tossed) for the last 33 days. Because I’ve been sick for that long. Totally ridiculous!

    (the cough syrup is John’s. He’s been sick for quite a while himself.)

    Started with a throat infection (that Patrick decided was diptheria) in mid January. Went on an antibiotic for 10 days. Day 11, I got sick again with a bad cold which then turned into the sinus infection from hell- fever, horrible jaw and face pain, all over aches and chills- on the couch for 2 days. Back on antibiotics (a different one this time- why not, right?) for 10 more days. It helped with the worst of the infection but not entirely. Still sick and as a bonus the sickness included flu-like symptoms, swollen glands/lymphnodes and general ickiness.

    So on the advice of my fabulous pilates trainer, Karen, I went to her allergist/immunologist and as of last night I am finally able to breathe, and not thru my mouth. He seems to think it’s a viral thing and that’s why the antibiotics weren’t really helping. I’m on 2 different kinds of nose sprays, a sinus cleanse (umm…..ewwwwww!), a steroid and more motrin. He took a ton of blood to rule out mono (it could be I guess, but I had mono once and was waaaaay more tired than I have been with this sickness and way more sick but with no cold symptoms and a much higher fever) and to make sure there’s nothing weird going on with auto-immune things because of my family history of lupus and  my raynaud’s syndrome (which is in the auto-immune thing). So waiting to hear on those results, but so happy I’ve finally been able- since last night- to stop being a mouth breather. I can breeeeaaaaathe!!!!!

    Thirty three days is beyond my limit. Seriously.

    timmy’s birthday vegetable- part 3 {school party}

    On his actual birthday, Timmy got to celebrate with his class at school (which was pretty much most of the kids at his bowling birthday party anyway). John and I got to go in and read and bring in the ever important ice cream cups.

    First, some of his birthday haul.

    And then the very happy birthday boy in his Kindergarten classroom. Are ya one, are ya two, are ya three…Timmy and his BFF Jack are even the closest in February birthdays.  And that concludes Timmy’s 6th birthday vegetable. Hope you enjoyed the festivities. Can’t wait until next year (but if he could stay little that would be even better!!)

    timmy’s birthday vegetable- part 2 {the party}

    So, breaking with tradition, Timmy decided NOT to do a Rec Center birthday party this year. He wanted to have a bowling party. So we did.

    Timmy and his BFF Jack, who never seem to be more than a few inches apart from eachother. The boys’ baseball trainer & coach, Bryan who was so nice to come to Timmy’s birthday party. He told Timmy that if he hit well earlier that week that he would come to the party.
    The original 3 friends!See what I mean about not being more than a few inches apart?Possibly my favorite picture from the party. Timmy deep in prayer that he gets a strike. And although the party was NOT well run at all (the ‘helpers’ for the party were way less than helpful and the service was pretty awful) the kids had a great time, especially Timmy. So in the end that’s all that really matters. Just be forewarned if you are going to have a party there. Since Timmy hates cake (even ice cream cake) and cupcakes which covers just about all of the available birthday party celebratory fare, so he decided on ice cream cups.  Pretty good choice as it turns out!I think he was pretty happy with the whole day!  On a sideish note- I wasn’t really feeling very well at the party (that was the start of my sinus infection I think) and missed so many great shots. I knew there was something up- I was so off my game. I watched as so many great shots passed me right by. At least I still got a few decent ones.
