catherine & chris get engaged!
Chris popped the question out in Southampton on the beach and I was so happy to be there to capture it. Chris and Catherine are like a total power couple- she’s in medical school and he’s in law school, and are still so lovely, down to earth and totally in love. They were great to photograph and I wish them only the best in their very bright future together! Loved the beautiful and simple engagement ring in a gold setting- you don’t see that too often these days.

lisa & michael get engaged!
With a lot of behind the scenes help from family and friends we were able to pull it all off! Michael decided to propose at The Ocean Club, which has basically no place for me to hide on the open beach in October! Lisa would easily have recognized me with my camera since she always sees me taking pictures at the Pat Agresti Memorial Foundation Softball Game (Michael is Pat’s son). So I hid in the restaurant area and shot the actual proposal from far out but still got what I needed. Lisa was so surprised and happy!! Her friends and family put together a bag of clothing options, makeup, hair products for her to change into after thinking she was going down to the beach to “clean out the cabana” so we could move right into an engagement session on the beach. And there was a bag of props (sign, champagne, etc) from Michael’s mom. Pretty brilliant!! After shooting with me they went to a surprise (well, surprise for Lisa) engagement party at a local beach restaurant. So a pretty exciting day all in all! And great, great job by Michael on a beautiful ring, choosing a beautiful inside and out fiance and pulling it all off! (there was a LOT of wind, you can even see the blowing sand by their feet & legs in the proposal pictures, but we made do). Wishing Michael & Lisa a lifetime of happiness and good surprises!

samantha & darren’s engagement
If you follow along, I hope you’ll remember Samantha & Darren from their engagment party a few months ago. Well, here’s their engagement shoot taken at Jones Beach as it’s a very special place for them. It’s actually where they got engaged too!

Samantha & Darren’s engagement party
The same day I photographed my niece being proposed to, I also shot this awesome newly engaged couple’s engagement party. There was a lot of driving and photography that day! Sam & Darren had lots of friends and family over to help them celebrate while surrounded with tons of love and well wishes. And the cutest floofy black dog that you could hardly make out in pictures! I think I may be photographing an engagement session for them and maybe their wedding too so stay tuned…

bitsy & kevin get engaged!
I put my best ninja photographer/stalker skills to work to capture my “niece” Bitsy (who was my flower girl at my wedding to her Godfather!) and her now fiance Kevin proposing! It was awesome!! Kevin decided to do it in front of St. Agnes School where they met in 4th grade. Her mom told me that a long time ago a psychic told her that Bitsy will go to school someplace with big green doors and it will change her life. Well, that was pretty spot on!! Kevin thought Bitsy was the cute new girl with the blue eyes when she transferred into St. Agnes in 4th. They haven’t been together since then, but after Kevin reconnected with Bitsy at their 10 year reunion and then matched on Hinge a year later, the dating commenced and now here we are! Earlier in the week I went over to the Hispanic Brotherhood (which is located directly across the street from the school) to attempt to explain to them that I’d like to hide around their property on that Saturday because Bitsy is way too smart and observant for her own good and if she saw me with my camera walking around, I totally wouldve ruined the surprise. After confirming that I’m really not a stalker (well, not in this particular case) I hid behind the building until she said yes. And she did!! Big thanks to Kerin and Karaline and Mom for helping me set the whole photography portion up (and to the girls for keeping me company from a distance while sitting behind the Brotherhood for like an hour!). Great job to Aunt Denise for getting the house set up for the after party and helping with the ring, which is beautiful! Oh, and I do need to mention that Bitsy was wearing her Color Street Amazing Greige polish which was a nice bonus! And if you’re curious about the cake toppers- their respective nicknames given to them since they were little babies are Bitsy Bee and Puppy.
