    a project that’s yum {beach picnic edition}

    After an attack by the most annoying, rotten birds ever that stole all of the food (not even kidding) while we were setting everything up, we put the chef’s vision together on the beach for a little picnic. And then I ate all the pancakes. Tell me that little seating arrangement under the umbrella isn’t calling you with a glass of wine (or several) and a good book. If there’s Brie, then that’s for me!

    a project that’s yum {farmer’s market edition}

    It’s that time of year again where I can’t post any of the family sessions I’m shooting because they’ll be used for Christmas cards and gifts. Don’t want to ruin any surprises. So it’s going to be a lot more food, sports, headshots and events around here for a while.

    We took a field trip to the local Sunday morning farmers market to photograph some of the deliciousness there that end up in a lot of the dishes I’ve been photographing. Apparently, people do a lot of things early in the morning. That’s still not the time of day for me, and even though we got to the market early (for me on a Sunday) it was apparently very late in the day for the shoppers and vendors. Can’t they have a midnight market??

    a project that’s yum {part 13}

    This edition of one of my most favorite kinds of session includes all homemade (the best) pancakes, buttermilk, butter, candied pecans, corn on the cob, greek feta salad, ginger noodle soup, a chocolate shake, challagh bread, veggie pockets, stuffed peppers, sourdough bread, baked spinach and cheese, salad with dressing, and corn salsa. Hungry yet?

    a project that’s yum {part 12}

    I hope this project never ends because obviously I’m fed very well at the end of each session, but I also adore the chef and hanging out with her as much as possible! This go round includes (again, obviously all homemade) creme fresh, pie, salads, salad dressing, crumb cake, buttermilk & cookies, strawberry jam and french onion soup. Which, I can assure you, was all freaking fantastic!

    a project that’s yum {part 11}

    This go round included a few “filler” shots of flowers & eggs, mixed in with some deliciousness. When I first read her message, it looked like garlic waffles not like garlic, waffles because I read it all so fast. So of course we had to make garlic waffles happen.
