    robin

My best friend from college (University of Miami), Robin came down for a visit on Tuesday.  Aside from being a very, very talented artist and Art Director for David Letterman, and owning her own graphic design business with her husband Joe…she’s pregnant!! She’s due with her very first baby in August. I’m still trying to talk her into some birth photography where I go to the delivery room to document the whole thing. So far, not happening. But you know me…I don’t give up easily.

Rob also needed some headshots done for her business, so I was happy to help out there. Here’s what we got in our 5 minute shoot in the backyard. She’s so pretty (and has the BEST hair) that it was hard to not get a good shot.

And here’s her cutest little belly. Dosen’t she look awesome!?

We had some sushi for lunch (since that’s tradition and she couldn’t stay for dinner), took the boys all over after school and played with some photoshop stuff. Robin taught me photoshop way back when. And I even actually got to teach her a new photoshop trick or two Tuesday. Grasshopper.

    dancing with the teachers

I mentioned a little while ago that I had volunteered to do the headshots for the RVC Education Foundation’s fundraiser: Dancing with the Teachers. I just finished up the headshots for the dancing teachers (they are each paired with a professional dance instructor and they each do a different dance- just like Dancing with the Stars). It should be a fun night by the looks of things!

    RVC Education Foundation honorees

I am doing some volunteer photography work for the RVC Education Foundation's annual fundraiser/dinner. It's a good cause…and one that is obviously something I'm interested in supporting!

This year's dinner theme is Dancing with the Teachers and I am doing all the headshots for the 'dancing teachers'. So far I have only done the shots for the two Honorees of the night, the teachers are coming up in about two weeks. Here's a few of the honorees for the evening:

    the landstar title company

Had a great and very different assignment this morning. Did some headshots for the owners of the Landstar Title Co. as they are going to be featured in the newspaper and had everything they needed for that, except the headshots! So that’s where I came in. I know there are a bunch of my clients out there waiting for their shoots (6 of you in fact!) and I’m sorry to take this shoot out of order, but they really did need their pictures right away. Deadlines as dictated by the newspaper. But yours are coming, I promise!

Wow, it was so different, not chasing, cajoling, tickling, singing to, clucking, jumping, playing peek a boo, or making raspberries at my subjects. They are such nice personable guys and I wish them only the best.
