eastover 2012
Yup, you read it right- it’s Eastover! (Easter + Passover) and we celebrated it this past weekend.
It all started with the dyeing of the eggs and Matzah to eat. Along with Elijah’s cup. Just in case he wanted to show up and help with the eggs…
Grandma & Grandpa came over to help too.

All the egg festivities were then followed by the traditional viewing of The Ten Commandments on TV while eating Matzah & Tunafish sandwiches. Timmy asked to go to bed around 10:30, followed pretty much immediately by John. The boys and I stayed up till the end (about midnight). Can’t miss the whole parting of the sea…

And I would just like to mention that Yul Brynner was a hot pharaoh. Is that wrong? So let it be written…
The next morning, the boys went to Easter mass while I baked paper bag cookies, brownies and a green bean cassarole. We went over to Grandma & Grandpa’s with my parents, Uncle Nelson, Aunt Anne & Bobby for dinner. Or Linner. (since it was about 4pm when we ate, it is NOT dinner).
Timmy’s new pose for every picture. And Tebowing. Well, it is a religious holiday after all.
And my favorite part of Eastover- the positioning of the ham right next to the matzah. See, we can all get along!! Even the food.
And finally the wearing of the Eastover bonnet.

Hoping you all had a lovely Eastover too. No matter what parts of it you celebrate!! (oh, and I didn’t mention above that on Good Friday I had a chicken parm hero for dinner. Wrong on countless number of levels, but it sure tasted good…) -
rachel’s sweet 16 brunch
On a busy day of shooting, I ran by Rachel’s sweet 16 brunch at the firehouse for a few minutes to wish the birthday girl a happy one. Caught a few pictures before I had to run out to get to my day of sessions.
The very pretty birthday girl.

With her boyfriend.
Uncle Joe (aka Malibu Barbie Joe) and the boys. I don’t know why Patrick looks scared.
Rachel and her nana.
Some of her friends.
And the very cool beachy cake.
Rachel’s present is a full on photoshoot, so look for pictures from that. Someday soonish. -
blood drive for rob
Taking a quick break from the Disney posts to post a few shots from the 3rd Annual Blood Drive in honor of Rob Sullivan. Rob & Suzanne are great, great people- so generous with their time, humor, and love and it’s so nice to see that the whole community feels the same about them. The deal, as in past years, was give a pint (of blood)- get a pint (of beer). Seems like a fair trade! And since I can’t give blood, I take pictures. They had a great turnout again this year for the blood drive and even had a donor all the way in Australia (unfortunately, I wasn’t asked to take photos there.)
For those of you wondering, Rob is doing really well and looks great. We spent some time discussing the crazy last episode of The Walking Dead, so you know he’s on my very good side!!
A beer smiley face. Nice.

Please keep Rob in your thoughts and prayers. I know he and his whole family will appreciate it!

vital advantage corporate launch party
My friend Judy (owner of Nourishing Solutions 4 Life) is involved with another company- Vital Advantage- which has a bunch of great men & women in the health & wellness industry working together to bring lots of different specialities to the table. The celebrated their corporate launch party a few weeks back at Forrest Solutions in NYC. They’ve partnered with Forrest to bring a wide range of healthy ideas to their employees and are actually doing weekly inservice teachings at Forrest. I was there to capture a few shots of their launch party.
The whole team.
Some of their product/their partnering companies products they brought along for the employees to try out.

Even eating healthy can be fun!

Randi & Mitchell Weiner, CEO of Forrest Solutions. Let me tell you that Forrest Solutions looks like a pretty awesome place to work. Beyond taking care of his employees with healthy inservice programs, there is great music played throughout the office all day, bells rung when people make their goals and a gorgeously designed office space with tons of light and clean lines.
It was really very educational, even for me! I got to do a little taste testing of my own and everything I tried was really good. If you are in the market to get healthy (aren’t we all, really), talk to Judy and her team. They will definitely steer you in the right direction.

the rvc education foundation gala-2012
I was asked to photograph the gala again this year and was happy to do it. It’s a great foundation, the honorees received well deserved awards, and I got to see lots of friends while working.
Darren & Tina- my goto people for the gala and the coordinators for the evening who did a wonderful job as always!
Mr & Mrs Masin. Mr. Masin was one of the honorees.
His lovely daughter was his speech stand in (he was losing his voice due to bronchitis) and did a wonderful job for her dad when he needed a break.
Mr. & Mrs. Murphy. Mr. Murphy was the other honoree for the evening. His speech was hysterical and he had everyone laughing.
Our mayor and his lovely wife. Always a pleasure…
And some of the friends I look forward to seeing at the gala every year.
I have this picture of these two gentlemen every year at the same table. Just a different location.
The pretty lady in the middle is my ‘daughter that I’ll never have’s’ actual mom. Love her.
Darren and two of the teachers from his school.

The whole gala committee.
