    the iann family

A very big celebration for mom & dad’s anniversary and mom’s 80th birthday that called for very big photos! I’m just glad that I only had to coordinate the photos and not the entire family getting together from all corners of the country for the shoot! A fantastic bunch of people that it was my pleasure to work with. It was so great to see a whole entire extended family so genuinely happy to see eachother.

    The whole family…

And it all started with them. These next three are totally abercrombie images. At least to me…All the cousins.Grandma & Grandpa with all their grandkids. And the whole gang….

    adam’s prom

After graduation, it’s prom time in Oceanside. Beautiful weather and lots of good looking guys & girls headed out for a big night.

So handsome! There were about 1,000 parents there and next to impossible to get in there for a shot of the whole group. Adam’s date (just a friend and a really nice girl!). Loved the color of her dress and their coordinating-ness!Adam’s boys. Again, couldn’t get up front for a shot so I snuck around the other side and got my own angle. And here too. But then everyone found my side and I had to get out of dodge. But I got the shot first! Thanks Adam for being patient for more pictures! Love you!!

    the demil family

I do love extended family shoots, especially when they are for a really happy occassion like a wedding anniversary. Had a great one with tons of good looking family members including a friend/past client and a high school friend.

Yeah, that’s a whole lotta people!

How it all began…The afore mentioned friend and HS friend. Janine, I can tell you reeeeeeeally didn’t want me to take the picture, but your gorgeous anyway! And Maura, you are looking way too young!A little pool fun at the end. All 9 grandchildren. We worked hard for this shot, including a ball being bounced off of my head.  Thanks for a fun end for what was a very busy day for me. Wishing I could’ve dove right into that pool, too!

    adam’s graduation

Known this guy since he turned one. Seventeen years later, this is what happens…Yeah, I still can’t believe it either. Everyone (including Aunt Beth) is so proud of you Adam! Can’t wait to hear all about your amazing adventures in South America this coming year.

Adam will be going to Peru, Costa Rica and Uruguay with the WAVES program, where he will be doing all kinds of amazing things. Working with families (especially children) at the poverty level, teaching english, teaching surfing, coordinating activities, & working with the kids there on environmentally friendly projects. And my personal favorite: working with endangered sea turtles (rehabilitation, rescues, and community/tourist education). He’ll be away on this adventure from October- February. Can’t wait to see pictures!!!

The whole family. Who I love.

Geez, handsome much?Heidi’s side of the family……and Joe’s side of the family. These two are so close, I think I’m going to have to do a lot of distracting to help Heidi make it thru Adam’s leaving.
My pretty girls. Ok, Rachel? Did I do alright??And a few goofy shots. Aunt Heidi torturing the boys. This is what usually happens when they are together.Patrick is Joe’s godson. Soon after this was taken, he picked Patrick up and threw him in the pond (well, not in exactly. Just hung him upside down over it for a while). These two have a real love/hate relationship. He loves her, she hates (ok, barely tolerates) him. But she thought she looked really good in the last picture I took of them together, so now she always wants one with Johnny B. His other mother.Delicious curls I couldn’t pass up. Beauties. Don’t know if its his expression, or the angle or what, but I see the little Adam in this one. Awww….they’re all gonna miss him.

    A lot! Love you guys!

Adam’s prom pictures coming soon, stay tuned for those.

    elizabeth’s prom

I got to play paparazzi for an afternoon/evening and follow my ‘niece’ Elizabeth around to a bunch of pre-prom parties. I was also introduced to a whole new world of prom rules that include posting your dress on FB to ensure that no one buys the same one as you, buses instead of limos, and graduation the day after prom so that the school can use graduation to ensure no one gets out of control at prom. But I was happy to see that at least the corsages and boutineers are still around. And that the mom’s had to pin the boutineers on the boys jackets. Some things don’t change. But yes, I am really, really, REALLY old. How did that happen?!

But Elizabeth is gorgeous. I mean, really really gorgeous.

Her date was a sweetheart and I liked him cause he let me take lots of pictures without complaining. At least not to my face.I have this exact pose in a picture of Bitsy when she was around a year old. I looked all over my house but I can’t find it. I’m sure it’ll turn up as soon as this blog post is up!The first party. How are they all so pretty and skinny?! Is it bad I wish I was 17 again?A little shoe shot. Didn’t want to miss the backs of the dresses.Jake Ryan, anyone? (on the right)Talking to her godfather John on my phone while eating salami.  Even though the bus got lost coming from Maryland (yeah, I don’t get it either) and the parents had to drive the kids to Valley Stream to meet the bus almost 2 hrs late, and then the same bus broke down 10 miles from the prom and they had to send town cars to pick up the kids….they all had a great time from what I heard. Good luck next year in college, everyone!! Bitsy, what am I going to do without you?!?
