the scw 80th birthday
Headed up to the NYAC in Pelham last weekend for an 80th birthday party shoot. A beautiful area with a great family. And what a great man the birthday “boy” was! So together and kind and you could totally see how much his whole family just adores him. He has 8 children, and about a zillion grandchildren. All of them girls- except for one. Can you imagine?

We were lucky and just got all the family shots in before the rain came and everyone moved inside. Please click HERE to view the rest of the images from the party. Hope you enjoy them!

the mor christening
A guest and a photographer- best of both worlds. My good friend Sharon’s 3 month old son (that would be Timmy’s
brother in lawbest girl’s little brother) was christened last week and we were invited to the party. My gift was the photography. I got a ton of shots at the christening itself and at the party after, but wanted to do some more at home. So back into the outfit the poor kid went and we snapped some outside. I say poor kid cause both days it was about 90 + degrees outside. We kept it short! So here are some of my favorites from the day. Some of my favorite families/clients were at the party. If you are a blog reader, you’ll recognize some of them. And I have shoots coming up with three of them in the near future. It’s so nice seeing them in between shoots- getting to know them better- which will only help me capture them better next time!

the mar communion
Well, not the actual communion, but the dress just the same. The actual communion was a week or two before but mom wanted to capture her beautiful daughter in her beautiful dress, so that’s where I came in. Unfortunately, it was an extremely rainy day so we had to do everything inside the house. But I think we made it work regardless.

the gup christening
Did the pre-christening shoot for the little gup baby on Saturday (the actual christening was today and so was my parents wedding, so I couldn’t go to shoot the actual event). Met the grandparents (mom’s parents) who I just absolutely adored. They are the NICEST people, ever. Everyone is just so thrilled about this little baby who is such a miracle. I love taking pictures of her- she and her whole family are just so special. Their story is here if you don’t know what I’m talking about. When I walked into the house, the dress was hanging right here just for me to photograph. I love my clients. They totally get it!!
Did some shots at the house, some inside the cathedral, and some at my favorite arches. A little different perspective since it’s not like the 3 month old baby can stand up in the arches, so I was doing a lot of laying on the floor. The baby was not happy for a good deal of the shoot (and we really pissed her off pulling out the paci everytime she fell asleep or calmed down) but she really rallied and pulled it out at the end with some gorgeous smiles and giggles. She even got a special blessing from the bishop who we ran into by the church.
Grandpa, thanks for getting the bottle (even though it wasn’t put to use til after)! Hope you all love the pictures. You know the drill, the rest of the pix are in an album on the left. Click to see any image larger.

the mol communion
Here’s another "you may remember" family, from way back when. This family is another one of my very first clients- I did a shoot for them with tons of Coach stuff (bags, umbrellas, hats, etc) as their dad works for Coach. Three little blonde haired cuties, these kids. They are just so gorgeous! The oldest made her First Communion last weekend and the party was down at their beach club. While the day was pretty chilly and quite grey, we managed to get a bunch of great shots- especially of the kids down at the beach.

Don’t ya just love the very color coordinated family? And speaking of color coordinated, check out the picture of the mom and her good friends. They said they didn’t even plan it…I’m not convinced! It was just all too perfect!
And my all time most favorite shot from the whole day…talk about perfection! I think all that’s missing is a little halo around her head!
