    the stei family

Another new to bsquared family who I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing recently. And they deserve an extra big thank you, as they travelled from their home (it’s a little bit of a trek) all the way to Long Island for the shoot in order to save me travel time on a jammed packed day!

Their little boys were beyond cute. Loved the interaction between all of them and the way the littlest guy’s eyes squinted shut on his really big smiles and laughs!

See what I mean about the interaction?!Hello, pretty mommy!Love the little guy’s expression in the picture on the left. Too funny. Thanks again for driving down! Hoping you love the pictures!

    introducing evelyn & elizabeth

My BFF Robin from college and her husband Joe welcomed their identical twin baby girls last Friday 5/6 via Csection. Looks like it was just in time too, as Robin’s water broke when she was on the OR table being prepped! They got home from the hospital on Tuesday and I ran up to CT on Thursday for some pictures.

While I had all these great ideas in my head of poses I wanted to get, those didn’t happen. As soon as we got one baby settled, the other one started crying. And vice versa for the rest of the time I was there. So I worked fast and did what I could in little increments. And don’t even ask me who is who, cause I lost track about 10 minutes into shooting! So there very well may be a bunch of pictures of the same baby!!

Anyway, please welcome Evelyn Saiorse (pronounced sharesha like inertia, which means freedom in irish) and Elizabeth Morgan.

    Evelyn was 6lbs, 6 oz and 18″

    Elizabeth was 5lbs, 9 oz and 171/2″

And of course, the miracle baby himself, Eoin. All fashionable and stuff. So smiley for Aunt Beth. We figured we’d give Eoin his first chance to hold the babies. At first, it was okay. He was not amused. At all.

…and then it was time to go. I think it was at this point that Robin and I just looked at eachother and laughed. So, so glad this part of having twins is done for me and wishing Robin & Joe lots of luck! Having twins isn’t easy, but it sure is awesome and always an adventure!! So happy for all of you!!

    kailey’s communion

All roads in life lead back to Mary Ellen. Not only did she give me like 75% of my initial clients when I started my photography business, but she knows everyone! When I took Timmy to the allergist, the receptionist happens to be Mary Ellen’s sister’s mother in law (she recognized my name and asked if I photographed her grandchildren, which I did.) Things like that happen all the time, and all roads lead back to Mary Ellen. So you’ll see a ton of bsquared families in this post. And besides, she’s just the nicest, sweetest, funnest and kindest person I know!

Her daughter Kailey celebrated her first communion last weekend and it was all perfect and beautiful. Especially Kailey!!

She’s stunning- in either black & white, or color!

Mary Ellen told me that while she and Kailey were at church for communion rehearsal, Kailey leaned over and whispered “you got Beth Beyrer, right?” I do love her so!! My favorite part was when I came back during the party and I was greeted by her little face lighting up and a big hug! Then she asked me to take pictures of her with her friends. And I love her even more!!The one with grandpa was totally unposed. Caught it just as he was coming up the porch steps. Not technically perfect, but perfectly lovely. That little man is just so delicious. He screams ‘nibble me!!’Not a detail was missed.

The party was great! The closest I’ve gotten to a smile from this one. That’s my ‘wifey’ on the right… love ya, H!! Always wonderful to work with you!! Mostly cause it never really feels like work!

    thomas’s communion

While mom started out as my stalker (for photography services), she and her family have definitely become a favorite bsquared family! Celebrating her 2nd oldest son’s first communion just gave me another excuse to book a shoot for them and take some pictures of their beautiful family. Get comfy- a lot of pictures coming up. Between the gorgeousness and the fantastically sharp focus I’ve been getting from my recalibrated cameras and lenses, there are just so many great ones to choose from.

Handsome communicant!I told them to look angry. If I was meeting them on the field, I’d be running the other way. It was his communion last year. Time flies! (the face he was making before the one on the right was hysterical. He cracked himself up!)Little J Crew model. And this little guy used to be SO shy and quiet. This year, he was a regular smiley chatterbox. The last time I saw her, she was a tiny little thing in a big Jets jersey. Beautiful baby!!Thomas was always SO excited about his little sister’s arrival when his mom was pregnant with her. Not much has changed!A tree full of monkeys (in jackets and ties. But monkeys nonetheless.)Oh my. Those eyes!!And it wouldn’t be a Kell family shoot without the communicant jumping on the trampoline. Thanks you guys for a great shoot!! Again!

    the calo communion- part 2

I have no doubt you’ll recognize this beauty from her communion portrait session I posted a few weeks back. Last weekend was her actual communion and I was so glad to be asked back for more pictures of the whole family and extended family. And a little of the party, too.

Stay tuned to the blog in the coming weeks- lots more communions to go.
