the powe baby
Ok, so I’m in love.
And after looking at that picture, so are you. It’s okay, you can admit it. We’re all friends here.
This gorgeous baby is Patrick’s first grade teacher’s second little girl. Her first little girl has been heavily featured here on the blog over the 2 years she’s been around to photograph, and actually, even before that! She was one of my very first clients ever (maternity shoot, newborn shoot, announcement, christening, christmas, etc), and I’m so glad to have them back- especially for such a happy occasion.
This new little one is basically the polar opposite of her big sister. While Miss M was nothing but open eyes, looking around, not wanting to miss a single thing (I totally remember thinking that she was way older than 2 weeks when I shot her first session way back when), the new little Miss M was just interested in sleeping. And eating. And just generally not being disturbed from her slumber.
The ‘original baby’ (aka the dog) was such a good boy and is great with his human sisters. He’s a trooper.
And big sister. I love this kid. She’s a total pip. (how much do you love the chef’s outfit. She wears it everytime she helps her mommy in the kitchen).
The happiest little family.
And yes, it is completely ridiculous that mom looks this good. The shoot was done before the baby was even two weeks old!! Beautiful!
Oh, and C? The boys were around while I was editing and were oohhhing and aaaahhhing over the baby and M. They want to know if they can skip school when you come over to work on the announcement and hold the baby. I told them they’d have to take that up with the principal. Like maybe they could get credit since it was a school related baby.

our shoot
Had to squeeze it in, but we did do a shoot for us this year. And believe it or not, I was actually in it. Needed my hair highlighted bad, so please try to ignore the black, yellow and grey mess that’s on my head. Other than that, it was so good to actually be in some pictures.
A big thank you to my friend Beth who came along with us and shot all of the pictures with me in them.
And I’m not going to go into how totally BAD my children were for this shoot. So freakin bad. So freakin bad that they were punished for three weeks immediately following the shoot. (there were a few things besides the shoot that lead up to the punishment, but the shoot behavior was the cherry on the cake of my day. week. month.) I know, you look at the pictures and watch the video and say that they were perfect. But John, Jerry (the videographer) and Beth all know the truth cause they were there. I tried to be calm but lost it after the first 15 or so ‘incidents’. We lost the light so fast but I did manage to still get some fairly decent ones in. In spite of them.
I had so much fun styling the boys for the shoot and shopping for all their outfits. It’s almost always sweatpants and some kind of jersey or sports related Tshirt, or a character shirt. It was so nice seeing them in ‘real’ clothes. And the best part? They liked them too and have worn them a few times since. Money well spent.
Here’s our video, too. Thanks, Jerry, for a great job and for not showing me losing my mind with my very misbehaved children!!

Happy New Year to everyone! We watched the ball drop with Grandpa Ken and John fast asleep and Jack, Patrick and even Timmy staying up til well after. Too funny! Then out to the balcony from the 20th floor to watch hundreds of different fireworks all over south Florida. We started the New Year with tons of giggles. Hope that sets a high standard of laughter for the rest of the year.
And we’re off to the ‘left coast’ of Florida for 2 days. Going to do a shoot for a high school friend and his family and getting in a visit to Ft. Myers Beach, Sanibel and Captiva Islands. I’ve never been there before and am really looking forward to it all. Don’t worry, there will still be blog posts while we’re on our adventure. Psyched for my first shoot of 2010.

the lefe kids
Reporting in from Florida… the weather was great yesterday and after walking about 2 miles in the morning, I got a big fat almost 2hr massage and then went to the pool for a few hours. Lunch on the beach side and then some reading on the balcony. Think that will be how most of the days go and really, it dosen’t suck. Today we’re mixing it up a bit and going to the Miami Dolphins vs. Houston Texans at Landshark Stadium (it’s still Joe Robbie to me). It’ll be Timmy’s first game and mine too (have been to a lot of college games but never an NFL game. Too cold for that nonsense in NY). Should be fun!

Now on to the pictures. Obviously, these were taken well before Christmas for holiday cards and just to have. So I guess the answer to my own question a few posts back is no…I will not be caught up anytime soon.
The oldest boy played on the same baseball LL team as Jack & Patrick. He’s a funny kid.
She’s so lovely and so cute in her little outfit. Loved the boots! Rockin!
This little one we refer to as our ‘wild card’. He could really go either way for the shoot. Last year we witnessed the ‘not so into the photoshoot at all’ side. This year was ‘still not into it but this crazy lady can make me laugh in spite of myself’. I’ll take it!
You might recognize mom from her music together classes, or from the blog, or because she’s the one who makes the photo jewelry, jujewels. I have a few from her and did some as gifts for the holidays. They’re really awesome.
Hope you guys enjoy your pictures and had a great holiday!

the devit family
This lovely little family was gifted with a bsquared session from a very good bsquared client. I was really looking forward to meeting them and their newest addition.
So we got both newborn and Christmas shots. With a quick change of outfit, it was a whole new shoot! Isn’t the baby just lovely?
The biggest sister is so great with her new baby sister. She was so funny; going from shy one second to modeling the next, back to shy again. It was literally frame by frame.
They really are a gorgeous bunch.
So nice meeting you all. Hope you enjoy your pictures!

the baut family
My first blog post from the new Mac. Getting used to it, slowly. Technology is a blessing and a curse. Seriously.
Anyway, had a great time photographing this blondie family with mom and dad who are originally from Texas. And although there were quite a few tears throughout the shoot,(it was a late night for the kids the night before) we came away with some great shots anyway.
And a great video, too! Make sure your sound is on.
