the mora birthday party

A double dress up photo birthday party for two gorgeous girls, and I was asked to shoot it. So much fun, even for me!

The whole family- in regular clothes!

The littler girls…

The bigger girls…

…And the biggest girls!

So many fun, cute and creative costumes and posing!

I had a great time with all of the girls (and the few boys/daddies who muddled thru) and I think the party was a big sucess.

A trip to Westchester was in order to meet this family. They live in a lovely home with a HUGE yard (ok, I knew it was huge but when I ran back up to the house to change out my flash card and came back outside and couldn’t find them, I knew it was big- like park big!)

We had a great time just playing (trains and exploring and dressing up and blowing bubbles and 1-2-3whee) and just being 2 with Mr. K.

Totally reminds me of the three bears…

The face. Oh, the face of hat hating. Ok, I know I’m mean but I love that picture!

And how much do you love the stickers all over his legs? S, I can photoshop them out if you want, but they just scream 2 to me, I had to leave them in to show you.

Cannot count how many kids break out some kind of camera to take pictures of ME during the shoot. Turnabout is fair play… but thank goodness they don’t actually take the pictures. I’m not so pretty when working. I look pretty schlubby actually but rolling around in the dirt/sand/grass/wet/floor is what I do!

So great meeting you all! And so happy Mr. K warmed up after a bit. I think it’s safe to say we were friends by the end. Thanks for sharing a part of your day with me! To see all of the images from the shoot, please click HERE.

the brit family

This adorable and fun family came to me thru two different referrals, the sister of the mom and the sister of the dad. So, thank you to both!

Loved this fun bunch- they kept me on my toes! When mom booked the shoot and gave me the ages of the kids, she wished me good luck with the littlest. She was a real pip, but a great photogenic little model.

We met up at the GC Cathedral where I had done another shoot not too long before. When we were getting close to being finished some guy appeared out of nowhere (very rudely I might add- no need for that, you can just ask nicely!) came over to tell us that it was private property and that we had to leave. At least it was at the end of the shoot and we would have been wrapping up soon thereafter anyway.

So nice meeting you all!! Hope you enjoy your pictures and I got the shots you were looking for to hang on your stairs! To view all of the images from this shoot, please click HERE.

This is one of those shoots that both mom and I thought might not ever happen. And as it turns out, we made it in just under the wire. We had rescheduled 3 times due to various things, one including the baby having a black (actually rainbow colored) eye because of a fall. Well, thank goodness she was fine and looked fine by the time of the rescheduled shoot too. As it turns out, within a few hours of the shoot being completed the poor baby got stung by a bee on her eyelid! After a trip to the ER she was fine, just swollen and not photoready. So glad we got the shoot in when we did, right J??

A bunch of the best looking kids, all in one family. And so good, too. This was my second time photographing them (do you remember the baby from last year? She was in a brown/white polka dotted canvas bag with her name on it.) and I enjoyed them thoroughly.

Mommy & her girls.

Mommy & her boys.

The VonTrapp family singers and a few more for fun.

the eckl family

Liz and I went to school together forever and I was so happy that she wanted me to take some pictures of her and her kids while they were back in town from their home in St. Louis. (another connection thru Facebook, of course!) Liz’s husband was unfortunately not able to join us but I’m hoping he’ll like the pictures anyway.
Liz and I talked middle school and stickerbooks. Ahhhh….memories. And I love that she whipped out her camera during the shoot to snap some of her own pictures too!
The kids are beyond gorgeous and photogenic. Apparently, they were not happy about getting their pictures taken and were a bit freaked out all morning. But as soon as we got started I think they figured out it would be fun and really had a great time despite their previous feelings.

Love the footprints in this one.

See, gorgeous!!!
