the boi family
For someone (me) taking the month off, it hasn’t really entirely worked out that way! I promised myself that I wouldn’t take any weekend shoots (which I have stuck to) but would do any shoots that absolutely couldn’t be done in September. Like a party or special event, or a newborn. Cause by the time September rolls around, the newborn won’t be a newborn anymore.
That brings me to the next newborn I photographed recently and his great family. I didn’t realize mom was who she was and as soon as she opened the door when I arrived I said "oh, it’s you!". I know her from around town- kids classes and stuff. I met the rest of her great little family (yea! 3 boys!) and snapped away.
The baby was absolutely adorable and his big brothers were fun and very energetic. Walked down the block to the neighbors house (who’s family I shot at Christmas time last year) to use their cool swing- perfect for the baby!
Got the boys jumping on the bed (see, it’s not all bad for the kids when I come around. They generally get to do things that they aren’t normally allowed to). This one reminds me of Peter Pan for some reason- love it.
So many great locations in the house. And LOVED the painted kitchen floor.
Hope you love the pix, A. Great "meeting" you and your great family!

the sil babies
Delicious little boy & girl twins! Although technically 6 months old (3.5 months adjusted age) they were still pretty newborn squishy, which I just love. They were sweet and so good and easy.
Big sister is settling in with the babies- she’s had a tough few months. She really wasn’t too interested in getting her picture taken (with or without the twins), but we managed to sneak in a few anyway.
It’s the babies’ Christening this weekend (the pictures are part of the favor- mom bought some pretty picture frames) so getting these up just in time! Nothing but happiness on your special day and in your bright shiny futures!

the dis baby
Another new baby in my parents building that I was asked to take pictures of. That building is welcoming so many new babies over the last few months, with more to come in the fall. It’s a busy place! So here he is…a real cutie and a big ol’ meatball. His mom is just gorgeous and looks absolutley fantastic. The baby was only 3 weeks old at the time of the shoot, but really seemed much older. He had awesome head control and was super strong. And apparently, the baby is not a sleeper. He was awake for a good part of the session (and most of the night, mom said) and it took quite a bit of doing and whipping out all the tricks to get him to sleep. We finally did and he was nice enough to stay that way for a good long while (although, I don’t know if he stayed sleeping after I left- I hope he did N!)
His dad is from Croatia and he was sporting his first Croatian soccer jersey. So cute!

the bur family (@ the planting fields)
My third shoot for one of my favorite families to photograph. They are just so photogenic. Good thing they are on my growing up squared plan, huh? Their little girl is now on the move- fully running! Which makes my life a little more ummm….fast moving! But she’s still a joy and as smiley as ever.
We went someplace completely different for this shoot. Mom and Dad I believe had their wedding photos done here at the Planting Fields. Wow- it was gorgeous! We wandered around and really, there were no bad spots in the whole place. Around every corner was another gorgeous surprise location to shoot in. Now, if I could just keep up with her…
We were moving fast to avoid the incoming rain storm (complete w thunder and lightning) but got caught in the middle. At least we were under a covered area. It was pretty much done from then on as it just kept drizzling the rest of the time, but I had gotten a ton by then, so it was okay.
There is a $50 photography permit required to shoot here, but I think it’s TOTALLY worth it. Really, an unbelieveable location.

the lai family
Friends of friends, you may recognize these smiley adorable kids from a christening party. We met at Tanglewood on an EXTREMELY humid July morning, where it felt like 100 degrees and we heard thunder the entire time we were shooting. We somehow managed to avoid any rain, but we did wrap it up a little quicker than normal so we didn’t get struck by lightning!
Everyone was real troopers in the heat and humidity and we pulled off some great shots. The chair came in super handy getting the little ones sitting together- and happy! And then a little love before the shoving eachother off the chair starts.
