    the did family

    Img_1625cbw

    A gorgeous family with a beautiful little girl and a fantastic house to match. Let me tell you that this mom decorated her house so amazingly well. Everything was just gorgeous- the furniture, the colors (oh, I loved the colors), the design- perfect! And the casement windows. Yeah, loved those. And I’m sure they are pretty sucky on being energy efficient and all, but they look great in the pictures. Really, what else matters!!??

    I also have to mention that this family has sent me like 5 referrals in the last few days- and they haven’t even seen their pictures yet! Thank you so much, C! I hope the photos live up to your expectations…

    the jas family

    Met this cute family who came to me thru another client’s photoshoot at their home for some fun and pictures. The little twin girls were REALLY unsure of me at first and just kinda gave me the “i’m-checking- you-out-but-I’m-not-sure-if-I-like-you-at-all” stare for a while. Then we had some warm up, especially when the cookies came out.

    And as sad as it is because 1. I have twins and 2. these twins are NOT identical (nor were they even wearing the same clothing) I still had a hard time telling them apart. Okay, maybe not telling them apart, but remembering who’s who. They were super cute though and they finally warmed up at the end with lots of giggles and smiles.

    This was such a FUN family to shoot. So playful (which makes for good pictures), so good looking (which certainly dosen’t hurt either), and you could just tell how much they all love eachother (so that translates really well to picture).

    There are so many images from this session that I just love, so I’m going to just let the pictures speak for themselves this time.

    I’m sure you will remember this fantastic family with new twin boys and a gorgeous little girl from their shoot about two months ago. They are one of my ‘growing up squared’ plan families, so you will get to see them two more times after this shoot. Which is great, cause they are so cute!

    The twins have filled out a bunch since their last shoot where they were only a little over a week old. They are developing their own personalities and sooooo close to smiling. Can’t wait to catch that next time! And sad but true, I have a hard time telling them apart. You would think oas a twin mom myself, I should be able to, but I really can’t. Plus the fact that they are fraternal and honestly do look different just makes it that much more pathetic on my part!

    Mom is looking fantastic and big sister is as beautiful as ever. And although she really didn’t want to hold the boys, we did have some fun- the two of us hanging out in the giant bathtub in mom & dad’s bathroom. Seriously. There was some great light in there and I just couldn’t pass it up. See…Img_9333b Img_9056b Img_9080b Img_9169cbw Img_9199b Img_9254cbw Img_9330mo

    This is what I learned:

    Water = good & smiles

    No water= bad & frowns

    At least for the first 3/4 of the shoot.

    There was a last minute change of venue from the family’s home to a nearby park. We started down at the water, and it all kinda went downhill from there- for a while anyway. All R wanted to do was to go into the water. Fully clothed. Fully in. And when we but the kabosh on that, he wasn’t pleased. When he got over it a little, he was running and tripped and bumped his head on the asphalt. You can imagine he was really upset and we were going to end the whole thing. But daddy wisely suggested we go back home and see if we could get anything there. So we headed home and the first thing R did was to play with his water table and kiddie pool. Well, it quickly went from playing around the outside of the pool, to standing in the pool, to sitting in the pool fully clothed and soaking wet. But once he got his fill of the pool, we were able to venture out into the yard (and even into the house) for a few other shots.

    He’s a great little boy and had some sweet smiles and giant brown eyes. He just really REALLY likes the water. Thanks mom & dad for your patience. Hope you like the pictures, even if he is dressed and in the pool!
