the siv family
Went on a big adventure to Brooklyn to meet this fun family and do a shoot for them. They live literally down the block from Prospect Park so we spent the majority of our time there. Apparently, they spend a lot of time there themselves! Little Mr. S was such a smiley, happy guy and great to photograph. I was and still am impressed with mom’s upper body workout abilities- she’s in fabulous shape!! Dad was so nice and easy going and seemed very relaxed in front of the camera-perfect for me! Had to get a few at home, favorite toys included.
So many great spots in the park to capture this happy family in.
One of the more (ahem) interesting characters in Brooklyn. Love the hair.
You know I had to stop at the bridge- love the rust and the curve and the texture and the nature. Yum.
And a super orange wall! (When John saw these pictures he asked if this now means we have to drive into Brooklyn for pictures of our boys at the Orange Wall. He knows me so well…)

the bar family
So excited because my favorite little park is now all GREEN. Really green. So green, I’m thinking I want to take my boys there to take some pictures. Spring makes such a big difference. New York is no longer brown and grey!
Met up with the bar family at the park Saturday morning for a family photo shoot. And although it was really green, the sky was pretty grey. Which was fine cause that’s really the optimal lighting– no harsh shadows to deal with. This family is one of my first "real" clients- ones I didn’t know, that were referred to me thru another fabulous client that sends me a ton of business. Their kids are super cute and their little boy is the same age as Timmy. The boys are very similar and I have a great time photographing him (well, really, ALL of them).

Some one, two, three….Whee! fun with mom & dad.

the but family
Had the opportunity to do a shoot for this fantastically sweet family this past week. And let me tell you not only how NICE they are (Mom sent me a great thank you email after the shoot– before even seeing the pictures!) but how much I just LOVED their little boy. Omg, what a cutie pie. Smiley, happy, even ran to me with outstreched arms for me to hold him! And held my hand to go to different parts of the park. Love! I have so many favorites, (yeah, I know, again) that I don’t know which ones to post. Just look at those sparkly little eyes and tell me you don’t love him a little too!

the lam family
This was the far out east shoot on Sunday. A really nice and really fun family who were (mostly) game for pictures and tresspassing. Although their backyard was huge and beautiful, I found this great path on their next door neighbors property (clearly marked by a no trespassing sign) that I just knew would be great for pictures. And it was. So we all climbed thru the bushes and started in, ignoring the sign completely.
The two middle kids (the little girl with the curly hair and the little boy with the blonde hair) were not having much fun with me no matter what tricks I tried. She would rather just keep running, moving, and showing off her new pink crocs. And the poor little boy was just getting out of the hospital and kept saying "no doctor" to me. Nothing we did could convince him that I was NOT a doctor. But I did manage to sneak a few in when they were otherwise engaged. And the other little boy (in blue shirt) was having a fabulous time trying to run me over with his John Deere tractor. I escaped with my life and feet and with a few great shots, too. Ha! The baby was just delicious and so easy. We woke her up out of a deep sleep putting her on a blanket in the middle of the path. She just rolled over, looked up and started smiling!
The pictures are a surprise for the grandma/mom for Mothers Day. Apparently the dad/grandpa called in with a "mooning’ picture request so I did my best to get a few of those too.
I had a great time and hope you love the pictures. Everything is in an album on the left.

the sha family
The second of the three shoots from last weekend. Almost there!
This was a fun one for sure! We all worked really hard to get the shots, but I think it was worth it (hope you guys do too). This baby does NOT sleep and I think we really worked him hard– so much so that he did eventually pass out for a whopping 15 minutes. But I did get the sleeping basket shots that I so wanted, so it was all good. The little girl is soooo smart and cute (and has a beautiful name to match). She wasn’t so into the whole thing, but after the "gummies" came out, she was my buddy. Shoulda pulled that one out earlier! And I do just have to mention how kind and sweet the parents are- and they are both doctors! Holy smart family!!
