    the gre family

This lovely family were nice enough to let me into their very busy and full home to catch some shots of them. The gre family has two MD’s, three kids- two of which swim competitively, 5 cats, a dog, 2 tortises, and I think that’s it (sorry if I left someone out). Crazy, right? But so, so nice. And dad totally resembles Dr. Jack Shepard from Lost! Makes it even harder to wait for the show to start later this month.

Anyway, the kids were so sweet and SO cooperative. And I think they had a good time. They seemed like they did. We did try for the whole family (animals and all) in a shot, but it just didn’t work out. The cats were not particularly interested- quite like a lot of the kids I photograph- but they couldn’t be bribed with animal crackers or new toys. The trampoline shots were the most fun- wow, those kids can bounce, flip and fly. the last shoot for 2007: the zaw family (mini session)

And what a way to end the year! These girls were not only SO beautiful (again, going back to my earlier statement: I only seem to photograph good looking kids!) but so, so sweet and easy. The were a little quiet and very reserved in the beginning, but I think I caught some of their personalities shining thru at the end. They are both very talented swimmers- swimming competatively and in the Jr. Olympics. Cool, huh? Couldn’t have ended the photoshoot year on a better note!Img_5796sl_2 Img_5846cbw Img_5804sl Img_5805sl Img_5868sl Img_5879sl Img_5912sl Img_5914sl Img_5940cbw Img_5932sl

Gorgeousness! Today’s shoot: the sta family

So do you see the absolute gorgeous kids in this shoot? Could they be any better looking? I don’t think so. This was a FUN shoot and I was so glad to be able to do it outside and with my 30D back in action!

This was a pretty last minute shoot- and a good story as to how they found me. This family lives right next door to the Led family who I did a shoot for about a month ago. They heard all the chaos and screaming in the backyard (that was the adorable little girl who wanted NOTHING to do with me or my camera) and saw the couch in the yard and really wanted to know what the hell was going on! The oldest daughter emailed me (and is apparently another one of my blog stalkers- yea!!) and wanted to set up a shoot with her siblings for a Christmas present for their grandparents. So gorgeous and sweet, too! We ended up going next door, borrowing the same burgandy chair and a half, sticking it in the backyard next door, and shooting away. The younger two girls have done some modeling (duh!) and just jumped right in with their modelly poses. The boy was not particularly thrilled with the whole deal, but he did a really good job faking it. And more importantly, I made HIM move the couch this time. The oldest girl looks so much like Kelly Ripa, right? She said she gets that often. She also told me that they are a very crazy family- they all stay up till like 4am every night- "like the Osbournes". They were awesome and fun and did great. I hope they love the pictures as much as I do!Img_5409sl Img_5405sl Img_5417sl Img_5431sl Img_5448sl Img_5467sl Img_5491sl Img_5458sl Img_5516sl Img_5522sl Img_5544sl Img_5555sl Img_5567sl Img_5574sl

Sunday’s shoot: the blo family mini session

Had my very last Sunday shoot for the year with a very nice family who came to me as a friend of a previous client. It ended up being a very abbreviated session (I was not done yet) as the power went out due to the wind/rain. And due to the wind/rain, there was not enough natural light to proceed. Especially since these kids were so fast and so, so busy- they would have been nothing but big blurs without the help of a little light. I waited for a bit before leaving just in case it did come back on, chatting with the mom about summer camp, but no luck so we had to wrap it up early. Got some cute ones in though before the power went though. Just not a lot of them. I think this family might do a little better outside when the weather gets better- more room to run and be. Oh, and that hair! That gorgeous perfect color of deep red hair. Would love to see that in the sunlight. Img_4133s2f Img_4172slf Img_4145x Img_4196slf Img_4236slf Img_4246cbwf Img_4294sf

    Sunday’s shoots: the kel family

We lucked out that it was not TOTALLY freezing this morning (don’t get me wrong, it was still cold…especially for little girls in short sleeves!) and we got to do some pictures outside for this family. Turns out that the older of the two younger red dressed girls goes to school with Timmy’s best buddy Miss O. The mom had seen O’s pictures in class one day and they figured out they were both using me for Christmas pictures! Cue "small world" again!

Great kids, great shoot. Everyone was so cooperative and good. I think we got a nice one for the card and for the gift!Img_4809s Img_4842sl Img_4845slc Img_4871sl Img_4877sl Img_4902sl Img_4951sl
