catherine’s pre-prom party
A few weeks ago I shot a pre-prom party for one of my favorite (breakfast at tiffany!!) clients and her friends and family. We lucked out with the weather and managed to get just about the whole shoot in before it started raining (but I felt badly for the kids who’s prom was on a boat that night). They seemed to be excited about the night, which is lower key than most prom’s; no dates allowed, no big gowns, no limos or busses, which was actually quite nice with a lot less pressure on everyone. Catherine’s mom threw a wonderful party for the kids and their parents. I hope the rain didn’t ruin the rest of the night and they all had lots of fun!

the hono family
A brand new to bsquared family that came to me thru a referral from a photografriend that I was so happy to meet and photograph. Mom had put off family portraits for a long time and wanted a little more formal session, so we stuck to that but threw in a few more fun images too. A little something for everyone.

chiara’s first communion
I met this lovely family for the first time immediately after their daughters mass where she made her first communion. They were so sweet (and the little guy was more than a little shy!) and we had a perfect day for pictures. With all the pink flowers in bloom, we made the most of the surroundings!

greyson’s first communion
You would (hopefully) never know by the pictures, but this poor kid was soooo sick that day. I’ve been photographing him (and his family) since he’s been born, so of course I have a huge soft spot for him and I felt so terrible that he was feeling so badly. He was the biggest ever trouper and smiled so well for me. I tried to make it as fast and painless as possible. I heard he felt better later in the day so at least he was able to rally and enjoy his party a bit. I’m hoping he doesn’t hold it against me for our next session!!

sonia’s first communion party
A few weeks ago I posted Sonia’s first communion portraits. Well, then I got to photograph a bit of her party too! As an aside, do you know that peacocks sound EXACTLY like the bird Kevin in the movie Up? You learn something new every day. Her party was at the Milleridge Inn (where there are peacocks around the grounds so that tidbit of info wasn’t totally out of left field!) and it was so fun for me to take some pictures in the village before heading inside to the party. Hope you like her party photos as much as you liked the portraits!
