isabel’s bat mitzvah
So this is my second high school friend with a daughter who was bat mitzvah’d this year that I got to photograph. Isabel was her usual super fun and spunky self (yes, she is only 13. I know its hard to believe from the pictures!) full of poise and sass. It was a great day, filled with friends and family.

Grandpa, who lives in far off tropical lands (in asia) owns no socks.

Decidedly, not the best setting for a picture, but they were hiding in the coatroom until the grand entrance.

Brothers. Gotta love em.

The girl on the left was my first friend in St. Marks Nursery school.

the joha family
After I got the call that the baby was here, I was so excited to get over to their home and photograph their newest addition, especially after photographing their older son a few years ago when he was just a little baby. This is apparently the model baby they make- same face, same expressions. And cute beyond all belief!! We actually got outside to their awesome “beach house” indoor/outdoor patio sitting room (straight out of a pottery barn catalog by the way) and within seconds of shooting it started to absolutely POUR. Like really pour. So back inside we went to finish up. It was a great session with their two little men. Looking forward to photographing his baptism next month, so stay tuned for more photos from this great little family coming soon!
I’ll just be all cute over here.

the bloo family
Referred by a long time client out in the Hamptons, I headed back out to meet this new to bsquared bunch and was so glad I did! Such a nice extended family with great kids and parents and grandparents too. And photographing them on the beach in Westhampton was my first official beach shoot for 2016. A perfect way to start the season!

gabriella’s 1st communion
And with this session, we conclude the 2016 communion season. It was a great way to end as I love photographing this little girl and her family. They’re relatively new to bsquared and I really hope they keep coming back! They treat me way too well, with gifts after our session (including wine. and cookies!) and are a pleasure to work with. I can’t post it, but my favorite picture from this session is Gabriella in mid-sneeze. It was awesome! Hope the party after the communion was lovely!

linda’s 1st communion
Long time bsquared clients that I had the pleasure of photographing again this year for their youngest’s first communion. I’m sure you’ll recognize them from the blog (in the header, too!) and because they all have the winningest smiles around! I was so happy I was able to stay a little longer and capture a photo that was very important to the whole family (grandparents with all their grandchildren), that it didn’t rain, and that I have clients that have become friends! And for me, it was so great to see Dad and get some pictures with him for the first time in years (we often do their shoots on weekday afternoons or mornings because of the kids’ crazy sports/dance/social schedules and dad is always at work during those times). I was so happy to get a family photo for them this time!
