My beautiful “niece” celebrated her Sweet 16 last month with a really fun, laid back (just like her) backyard BBQ. The highlight was her surprise gift at the end of the night- a brand new custom surf board. You know it was a good party cause the cops came. Twice! Happy birthday Erica!! xoxo

Photographed this fantastic family several times over the years, both together and separately. But this shoot with dad/grandpa’s plane at the airport? Yeah, you know how totally excited I was about this one!! Talk about an awesome “prop’!!! (and best of all, I didn’t have to go up in it! you know how i lust love to fly!) You can see some of their past sessions here, here, here and here. But this one takes the cake, at least for me.

I’ve lost count how many times I’ve photographed this bunch, but love watching the kids grow (and the dog too, even with his summer haircut!). They’re a ridiculously good looking group. You can see some of their past sessions here and here. We hit up Atlantic Beach Club for their session this year and had a great evening. Shooting at the beach is always a favorite for me.

the petri family {a marine corps family}
I’m meeting the BEST families thru my personal project (free sessions for active duty military families), and this bunch is certainly no exception! It took a little while for the baby to warm up, but once she did it was awesomeness the rest of the shoot. 3 sweet girls, and mom & dad are both Marines. How great is that?? Help me in thanking them for their service and for working to keeping us safe!

I miss this bunch a bunch! They moved down south in the last year, but still spend summers up here in the Hamptons so at least I get to see them then. And although we had planned on a shoot in their new hometown down south this winter/spring, that didn’t materialize so we just did the other best location- Westhampton Beach at the Swordfish Beach Club. Yeah, that was pretty great as was the wine and conversation afterwards!
