I want french fries!
Just a cute little story for today.
Every night when I ask the big boys what they want for lunch the next day so I can get a jump on it and make it the night before, I hear 3 voices calling up from the basement or from in the den….
Jack: turkey and cheese (or ham and cheese, or bologna and cheese)
Patrick: turkey and salami (or turkey, salami and provolone)
Timmy: I want french fries!!
When we went to the country club all summer, he always got fries with lunch. So I guess now he thinks he can always ask for them. Well, he can always ask, he just usually dosen’t get it. It’s just too cute hearing that little voice.
Gearing up for a busy, busy photoshoot weekend (weather permitting). Two shoots tommorrow, 4 on Saturday, and 2 on Sunday. We may end up juggling some of the Saturday ones over to Sunday if the weather still looks bad. Be on the lookout for lots of new pictures coming as fast as I can process them.

and finally…shoot #4 “the fas family”

Joe of all trades
Uncle Joe…plumber by profession, dentist by action? (Not to mention- lifeguard, fireman, surfer, chef, decorator, musician, godfather, dad, husband and hula dancer). Over the summer, you might remember Uncle Joe pulled Jack’s really loose front tooth before school started. Well, Patrick’s front tooth was (finally!!) loose and bugging him a bunch, so I called Uncle Joe this morning and asked him if it was still hanging on by this afternoon, if he would stop by and yank it. He said he would and Patrick came home from school with his tooth still in. So, Uncle Joe (dentist) ran by and yanked it out. It took some doing as it wasn’t as loose as Jack’s (and made a kinda sickening pop noise on it’s way out) but it did come out. After a few short tears and some blood, we had a happy, toothless boy. Luckily, the boys had 2 friends over after school today, so he couldn’t simmer in self pity. He went right back to playing after a little coaxing.
Now they really are twins again. They have the same gaping hole in their faces, in the same spot. Can’t wait to see who gets their new tooth first. And, please God, let them come in straight!!

moving right along…shoot #3 “the Lan family”
A mini-session for Christmas cards. Fun and fantastic! Three boys, just like here, but no twins, and they are all older than my boys. So it’s shades of things to come for me while I hang out to take pictures. The Lan’s are really, really great- I know the mom from the boys school and from the beach, too. She is always a real rip and someone you definitely want on your side. She fights all her battles so hard and so well.
I had a great time with these boys and a great time hanging out with their mom, getting some good boy advice. It’s always welcome from someone who has been there!
(no, not all the pictures are them
goofing around, but those are my favorites. I do have some real ones that are suitable for the card!) -
shoot #2- the “bur” family
Up next is the adorable "bur" family. This little girl was all smiles and fake shyness. Super cute. Her mom said she was having an off day (there were a few tears) but I think she did great. Mom and Dad were super helpful in getting her situated and happy so we kept on moving along with the shoot. Mom brought this great basket which really worked so well in the setting- it was perfect. The metal tub was a sucess too. And we had to get some shots with "turtle"- her favorite toy. She is only 8months and really, honestly said "turtle". I heard it!! So cute. Mom apparently loves the midnight sepia finish on the pictures, so I did a few extra in those this time. Hope you like them!
