    Little Imp

Just love the expression in this one. He really is such a character. Some new fun things…

-he asks before doing something "go play phone?", "go to pool?" and actually waits for me to say ok before he goes.

-was shaking like crazy on his way out of the pool today from being cold. So he says "i so scared", and then "i so angry". When I told him he was shaking because he was cold, not angry or scared, he said "oh, i so cold!" Thought that was pretty perceptive of a 28 month old-aquaiting shaking with scared or angry.

    – "i like it the____________"

-words that crack him up lately: wobbly, droopy drawers, nibbles.

-hercules is pronounced "terkeylees" Love that one.

The british is coming, the british is coming!!

We received excellent news! Our soccer coach from last summer who we all loved so much is coming back to visit this summer!  Thru the soccer program the boys do for a week in the summer, we have the opportunity to host a soccer coach for the week of camp. The coaches all come over with the program from England, Ireland, and Scotland. During the course of the summer, they travel to different towns, some of which they stay at a local college dorm (yuck) and some they can stay in a family’s home. They stay at your house, you feed them, and hopefully make a new friend. Well, we were so lucky to have Graeme as our houseguest. We all loved him. He was so great with the boys as a coach and so great living here for a week. Even Timmy loved him. He ended up going to Conneticut after leaving here and stayed in the US until November. So after he left us in August, he came back a bunch of times for dinners and to hang out/stay over. He was supposed to go back home to Liverpool in mid November, but we somehow convinced him to come and stay with us for another week in November and join us for his first Thanksgiving dinner. I think he had a great time and really enjoyed the gluttonous American holiday! The whole extended family really enjoyed him and his stories. He really fit right in. We even took him to his first pro ice hockey game which he dug (except for the breaks in play for commercials on TV- he was disgusted by that!). We kept in touch since November via email and a few phonecalls. I sent him some Abercrombie stuff for Christmas, along with some brownies and he sent the boys some awesome Liverpool football (soccer) jerseys. He will be working for Microsoft in September (into the real world) so he is doing some travelling this summer, and he decided to come and pay us a visit! (Well, after me bribing him with sushi, carvel, and a thousand other good foods, and the promise of the beach/pool/nyc everyday, plus a good dose of Jewish guilt thrown in). He is going to Japan, Thailand, LA and then to us for 2.5weeks in August. We are all so excited. Can’t wait to hear that accent in person again. Img_8632copy Uh-huh. I know. An abercrombie model. Even if he won’t admit it! Can’t wait to see you Graeme!

    getting ready

For our upcoming trip this weekend. Going down to DC/Baltimore for the weekend. John will be heading down first for a game and then the boys and I will be following later to meet up (with Grandma and Hakka too). 244_4438rc Looking forward to taking a ton of pictures in "our nation’s capital" . So much so that I am getting a new flashcard with more memory so I can take as many as I can. With the boys being such history buffs, they are really looking forward to the trip. And the fact that they are going to an Orioles game probably dosen’t hurt. I am hoping to meet up with my friend Nate and his wife who just had a baby girl- I feel more pictures coming on. The boys and I have been taking it easy around here. Just going to the country club pool in the morning and hanging at home in the afternoons. Have tons of laundry to get to today. I hate laundry. It is never ending.
