    “bcause i said so”

A friend of mine who I used to work with at the shoe company about a thousand years ago recently started her own business along with her sister. It’s called bcause i said so and you can find the link to their website HERE. They create the cutest T-shirts for kids. I took some pictures of their new line today and here are a few of those:Img_4343sc Img_4344sc Img_4401sc2 Img_4392sc

so cute…right??!! Loving the long sleeved shirts for the fall/winter months. They are cute enough to make me almost want another baby. Almost. But not really.

My photoshoot for today was rescheduled for next week. One of the woman’s sons may have broken his elbow- ouch!! So she was going to be spending her day at the ER instead. C, I hope he’s okay.

I am off Saturday to a photography show at Javits. I am really looking forward to that- can’t wait to see what’s there. I went to the stationary show at Javits a few months back with Mark from the camera store. Timmy came with us as I didn’t have anyone to watch him that day. Little did I know that strollers were not allowed on the show floor. WTF? People in wheelchairs were allowed, people who had those rolling walker things were allowed, but NO STROLLERS. So basically, I had to carry or chase Timmy the entire 3 hrs during the show while holding my diaper bag packed to the hilt with toys, diapers, wipes, and tons of snacks. Yeah, that was a lot of fun. But I do have to say that he was such a good, good boy that day. He even fell asleep while I was carrying him around. And he LOVED the train. Still have the pictures to scrap from that day. If I ever get around to scrapping again, that is. He won’t be joining us this time. Which is kinda sad, but also not. I don’t think my foot can handle the no strollers rule.

    the announcement

No, I have no announcement. Just posting a picture of the announcement that I made for Mrs. P’s baby  (you can see her albums to the left of her maternity shoot and newborn shoot). Sorry about the whiteouts, don’t need all the info out there in the world. Announcement2_web This was such a fun one to make. I still can’t get over what a pretty newborn she is.

Today’s shoot (aka more gorgeous kids)

Okay, so does anyone have unattractive children??? I am telling you (and you can see) that all these kids are just gorgeous. Today’s family, "the culls", were certainly no exception. Three great, sweet, polite kids who were so fabulous to photograph. The oldest girl was a bit shy at first, but by the end I managed to get her to loosen up a bunch and she really hammed it up for me nicely. The little boy was all energy and lovey. A great combination. And the baby is just delish and I swear, nothing but happy. I mean all the time. Even when she was vibrating in the stroller going over the bumpy ground paths.

Mom was just wonderful. She was a real help with getting the baby situated and looking at me. Sorry about your full sweat, J. I hope you think it was worth it once you see the pix. And I WILL figure out where it is I know you from. These pictures of the three kids are a surprise for their daddy for his birthday next week. So if you know this family, don’t spill the beans to daddy!! There were far too many pictures to choose from, so here are a bunch. The rest of the pictures are in an album on the left under "the cull family" (not to be confused with the "cul" family). Img_3953scswitch Img_3984sc Img_4005cbw Img_4216sc Img_4106sc

    the Dun family

Had a photoshoot yesterday for a lovely family. They chose a beach shoot and we really lucked out on the weather (again)! It was definately a bit windy and cool, but it was not bad at all. The sand was so smooth and had almost no footprints in it (I guess beach season really is over now). The girls were so cute and very busy. The hill climbing had the older girl quite enthralled and it was pretty much all she wanted to do. It was nice that they took a little pity on me and let me hobble around the beach after them without any running. Thank goodness the littlest one wasn’t walking yet, and the older girl was not too fast (yet). I had a great time, and got some good pictures too. I just love the interaction between the sisters in the black and white one below. Oh, and the sunset that day. Amazing. I stayed a little late just to snap some for myself. the school fair

Fairoside_practice_141sc Fairoside_practice_001sc The boys school has a big fundraiser fair every year. It’s really a fun day, with lots of stuff going on for the kids to do. Some of the teachers show up during the day too so it makes it fun for the kids to see their teachers "out and about". Brought the new camera for practice and got a few shots. I am noticing that the color coming out of the new camera is just incredible. I am loving that. Fairoside_practice_003sc Fairoside_practice_058x_2

Also took the big boys outside for some more camera practice. There are just so many more settings and options on this camera and I have a looooong way to go until I feel totally comfortable with it. And for any of you who might have noticed, the boys are in opposite colors than usual. Fairoside_practice_115sc Fairoside_practice_120sc

I am in the middle of editing yesterday’s photoshoot at the beach. I am hoping to have those done and up on the blog by Wednesday.
