Happy New Year from (still sunny) Florida!

Hope everyone has a wonderful New Year and has lots of fun tonight whatever you are doing. Just got back from dinner and thought I’d drop in to say hi.

Having a great time on vacation still. Pool everyday, usually twice at least. Roman’s everyday for lunch (crabmeat salad!). Sushi only once so far, but going again tommorrow night for my all you can eat seafood handroll. Tans for everyone- now the boys don’t look so sickly anymore! And I have finished 5 books. (Two James Patterson, one Jodi Piccoult, one Dean Koontz, and one by the same woman who wrote BelCanto- called Run). Liked all of them. I have 4 more books waiting…don’t know if I can finish all of them before we leave and god knows I won’t have a chance to read at home- so it’s now or never.

Planning on hitting the pool and beach tommorrow, and bringing the camera along so I can post some Florida pictures to the blog when I get home. Also trying to hit the scrapbook store, the racetrack (horses), and the Orange Bowl all before Friday. You know, before we die in the firey plane crash on the way home.

Happy New Year!! See you (with pictures) in 2008!

    Hello from (sunny) Florida

So we made it here alive (no firey plane crashes- but we do still have to fly home!) and fairly well. The flight down was delayed for over an hour- some "minor" mechanical thing- I didn’t want to know- with everyone just sitting on the plane at the jetway for the whole time. Thank god for the TV’s on JetBlue, they saved us! The turbulence on the way down did NOT make me happy at all, but we did arrive in one piece. So, that’s a good thing although we were over an hour late.

Christmas morning was a lot of fun. And you know I must be so burnt out cause the camera didn’t even make it out of the bag for any pictures! The big boys got some new Wii games, 2 additional Wii controllers with nunchucks, and the suprise gift was new Nintendo DS’s with a few games. They were psyched. Timmy got some good stuff too- an Imaginext castle, a pirate Mr. Potato Head, a cleaning set (he loves his friends), some action figures (thanks Aunt Maureen for the Robin figures- thank god you found them), a blue lightsaber and some various other stuff. The big boys also got a laptop from Grandma & Grandpa! I have to get that wireless thingy set up when we get back, but they can finally stop commenting complaining to me how they don’t get any computer time anymore (which is true, they don’t cause I always need it for pictures!) and get back into the Webkinz thing.

John got me a pair of boots I had asked for, and a car and home docking station with speakers for his MY ipod (which is the one I stole from him). Cool stuff! I bought myself some books and some frames too.

We are having a GREAT time in Florida. The weather is fantastic (80’s and sunny- sorry, don’t hate me. I needed it bad!) and we have been in the pool everyday so far. The big boys just went to the driving range with John and Timmy’s napping, so I’m going to go down to the pool ALL BY MYSELF for a little while (don’t worry, grandma is staying with Timmy). I already finished one book, Plain Truth by Jodi Piccoult- read the whole thing yesterday. I almost forgot how much I love reading since it’s been so long since I have. I also had an hour and a half of blissfull massage with Asela this morning. Vacation, baby!

I can’t access my email for some reason, so if you need to reach me about anything photography related that cannot wait until after the new year, leave me a comment on the blog. I will check in periodically.

Hope everyone had a merry Christmas and that Santa brought you everything you wanted. Oh, and sorry no pictures until I get back. No way to get them off my camera to this computer. You probably don’t want to see pictures of the pool, sun, and beach with tropical waters anyway….

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and THANK YOU!

A big, huge, ginormous THANK YOU to all my clients this year! I really, really didn’t expect to have a business, but here it is regardless. I took pictures for  79 families/events this year. Without one little bit of advertising either. Totally crazy! So thank you to everyone who booked a shoot with me or recommended me to a friend or family member. I am so happy and surprised that bsquared photography really took off the way it did. Thank you for reading my rambling blog and looking at pictures of my kids and everyone elses, too! Thank you for being my "blog stalkers". Thank you for letting me into your homes and lives to capture a little piece of your happiness. I hope I did all your pictures justice. And thank you because I just booked a trip to DisneyWorld in February 2008 for our family. And I’m paying for the whole trip myself!!

I am busy booking shoots for next year already. So if you have a date in mind and you want me to be there with my camera, please contact me as soon as possible. I want my "original" clients to get first shot at the dates they need. I already have 5 First Communions booked, a wedding, and a few shoots. So email me at bbeyrer1@optonline.net when you have your dates in order.

I now know that I MUST have all of my Christmas shopping done and wrapped by the beginning of October 2008! Live and learn, right?! I am hoping next year will be even busier than this year was and I can’t get caught in the Christmas Crush next year. I am learning that lesson the hard way this year. I still have wrapping and even some buying to finish up. Oy!

I am working on some new ideas for bsquared photography for 2008…a contest or two where you can win a reduced price shoot or maybe even a free shoot (but that means you people out there who read/stalk the blog but don’t ever post, will have to post to win!!!), maybe a "grow up plan" where I would take pictures every few months of your growing babies (the "babies" can be big too) with a special package rate, and I might even offer some of the picture windows that I would customize with your photos, along with some coordinating papers and embellishments. If you have any ideas that you’d like to see, please email me or leave me a comment (yeah, right…like that’s going to happen!) Really, I want to hear what you have to say!

We will be leaving for Florida shortly for a very, very needed vacation (where I hope we don’t die in a firey plane crash- you know how I just LOVE to fly) and will be back early next year. I am leaving you with my three Christmas Cards I sent out this year. I hope you all have a wonderful, happy, family, picture filled Christmas and New Years. Lots of love….bethMyxmascard2_copy Xmas7_copy Myxmascard3_copy

    My parents got married!

Isn’t that just the weirdest statement EVER?? Well, my mom and Ken finally decided to bite the bullet and get married. They have only been together for about 20 years now, so I guess it was time. It was a kinda last minute deal so it wasn’t much of a big wedding athough I’ve been told that there will be a "do over" in the spring, complete with a party. They held it at Touro Law School (which is where Ken works as the Dean of Admissions and a professor too) with a jugde friend of his officiating. In attendence (watch out the list is loooooong) was our little family- my mom, Ken, John, me, our three boys. Ken’s assistant, Melanie and another school friend, Paula, & my mom’s business partner Patti. Small but happy and fun! We (the immediate family only) went out for dinner afterwards to a local Argentinian steakhouse which we all really liked. It was a great day and a long time in coming. And now we are ALL going on the honeymoon in Florida together!Img_5614sl Img_5660sl Img_5662sl Img_5664sl Img_5665cbw Img_5673sl Img_5678sl Img_5681sl Img_5697sl Img_5704sl Img_5708sl Img_5717cbw Img_5730sl Img_5736cbw Img_5742sl Img_5756sl Img_5762sl Img_5774sl Img_5776sl

the last shoot for 2007: the zaw family (mini session)

And what a way to end the year! These girls were not only SO beautiful (again, going back to my earlier statement: I only seem to photograph good looking kids!) but so, so sweet and easy. The were a little quiet and very reserved in the beginning, but I think I caught some of their personalities shining thru at the end. They are both very talented swimmers- swimming competatively and in the Jr. Olympics. Cool, huh? Couldn’t have ended the photoshoot year on a better note!Img_5796sl_2 Img_5846cbw Img_5804sl Img_5805sl Img_5868sl Img_5879sl Img_5912sl Img_5914sl Img_5940cbw Img_5932sl
