    the seid family

This shoot has been a looooong time in coming. We had booked a shoot in the fall which we rescheduled no less than 3 times due to bad weather. Bad weather every time we scheduled for. Really, what are the odds of that?! So after the 3rd reschedule was a wash out, we canned the whole thing and just rescheduled for the spring. Thankfully, we finally caught a break and had a gorgeous spring evening with fantastic light.

I’m hoping the pictures we did get make up for all that bad weather and rescheduling!

What a bunch of cutie-pies! Angellic looking in all the pastels and golden light.

No shoot is complete without a little tossing from daddy! And love from Mommy.

Couldn’t resist capturing Miss A picking ‘flowers’. Windblown and all.

Adore this shot of the boys. Classic.

Thanks so much for hanging in there with me since OCTOBER to get the shoot done. We did it!!

    the lawl communion

Another day, another communion…but unlike yesterday’s post today’s features 4 boys instead of 3 girls.

Doesn’t he just look so proud and happy?

A great family from town with all 4 boys as photogenic as could be (they all remind me of the mini boden catalog). Loved the seersucker suits.

Dad said he dosen’t smile for pictures. Well, you know I couldn’t have that, so I somehow did manage to get the man to smile. And then he looked at the picture and said with shock “hey, that’s a good picture!” Uh huh.

Grandparents and Godparents all joined in.

The littlest one is quite the imp and gave me the finger during the shoot (apparently he didn’t like my directions!). And while I didn’t catch the exact moment, the reaction shot is priceless!

Thanks L family- great meeting you all!  And J- see you at Pilates!!

    the duff communion

A family with 3 girls- gorgeous, sweet, kind, photogenic girls. One of which who was celebrating her First Communion, in style.

She’s a girl who knows what she wants- from her flowers down to the posing. So self-possessed for such a young lady. She’s going far in life!

And mom? Not only gorgeous, but a very talented makeup artist (if you are looking for someone to do your makeup, look no further. Jenn is fantastic and will be doing my makeup for the shoot that I have in my head that I’m hoping to do at the end of the summer, just for me). And one of those people that I say we should’ve been friends before this (we only met at the shoot, but hit it off immediately and have quite a few friends in common) and… now we are.

I know this isn’t the best ‘technical’ picture, but I just love all the emotion behind it.

Thanks for the beautiful photos and for helping me find a new friend! Hope you enjoy your pictures!

    hakka reads @ school

Because Timmy was sick the other week, he missed ‘daddy’s night’ at his school. So to make it up, Grandpa Ken (aka Hakka) came to school and read a story to his class. The kids really loved him and the teachers were cracking up the whole time he was reading. I don’t think his Law School students probably find him quite as funny though- I’m not sure if it’s because of the material or the delivery.

And it wouldn’t be a date with Timmy without some legos.

    the malo communion

Back from Jamaica as of last night…let the new posting commence! Thanks to all the blog stalkers for hanging in there until I got back and was able to post something new for you. I am 10 shoots backlogged for editing and took about 2000+ pictures in Jamaica. With 9 new shoots this week, catching up doesn’t look good!! I will get there somehow and I’ll have lots to post for you over the next few weeks. More on the fabulous Jamaica trip and destination wedding soon.

When this family asked me to shoot their son’s First Communion, honestly I was a little nervous. This is one of the best/most favorite pictures I have EVER taken back at their daughter’s first communion in 2008- and how I would top it (or even match it) for their son’s? The pressure was ON.

As it turns out, it wasn’t as hard as I thought. Got quite a few of C in various states of jumping (not to mention some serious lightsaber action!) and cool beachiness.

And when the family looks like this, it’s really hard NOT to get a ton of great pictures.

We started that morning with some shots at their home- with the front porch that I absolutely love. It gets the best light and looks like something out of an english garden. Hmmmm…..maybe I could rent the space for future shoots….

Then I met up with them again that afternoon (after shooting a few other communions inbetween) at their party down in Atlantic Beach. They couldn’t have gotten a nicer day- all the kids were outside most of the party and the adults too.

Thanks for yet another fantastic shoot!! Oy, now I gotta come up with something for the little one’s communion. At least I have a few years before that one!
