    they bleed baseball

Seriously. It’s all they do these days. 3 games a week plus practice with Coach Bryan. But they love it and it’s all good. A few pictures from a recent away game.

Patrick had his pitching debut for the summer team. He did pretty well- I think he even surprised himself!Jack at 1st.

So, so close.Making the catch. This was how Timmy started and ended the game. He had that nasty Coxsackie virus this week but was pretty much over it by this game. Except for the catching up on the sleeping. And those eyes? Omg.  This was the one game I photographed this year at the ‘urging’ of Coach Healy. As in he guilted me into it. But it was fun. Going to have to take some shots at another game soon. Somehow, I’m sure the opportunity will arise.

    the mcca family

Another perfect shoot for the not-on-purpose bsquared throwback week. Michelle and I went to high school together, and honestly, I don’t think I’ve seen her once since graduation! It was great to see her again and meet her gorgeous and lovely family. She’s a twinmom too, but boy/girl twins- I’m thinking that’s a whole different ball game!

Love the boys dark red hair and his light greenish eyes. Quite the combo. Gorgeous family. Seriously. And great choice on the colors!!Love this one. Squeeeeeeezes. Michelle, you are beautiful! And although everyone around us was rude as could be during the shoot (the parking lot attendant, the ‘grumpy old troll’ security guard on the bridge, the parking lot police man, the people who plopped down for their picnic  like a foot away right when we were taking pictures) I’m so glad we got some great shots anyway!!

    the sode family

It’s flash back week here on the bsquared blog- all quite by accident. The last 3 posts (including today’s) are all pictures of people I’ve known for a long time. Today’s post is my friend N’s children, and N and I used to work at Jimlar (the shoe company) way back before kids. It was great to reconnect with her on Facebook, and then run into her while I was shooting a Communion at St. Agnes this spring. And it all came together for a shoot at the beach for her kids.

Who are quite gorgeous and totally photogenic in the ‘magic light’.

A is such a great big brother to his little sister, B.
Loved listening to Miss B speaking in english and spanish throughout our whole shoot!I mentioned the magic light, right? Delicious!!

    the kelli family

A repeat bsquared family, and a friend too. Travelled up to Rhode Island for this shoot as that’s where the whole family spends most of their summer. We made a long weekend out of it and stayed up in Boston for a few days beforehand and then drove down to RI to do the shoot. It was so well worth it!!

My friend, Lois, is due with her 4th baby this fall and I’m already booked for the newborn session! Can’t wait for that one. And I got to meet her inlaws for this shoot, with her father in law being my boys wonderful oral surgeon!!

Gorgeous families. The couple on the right are both professors at Harvard. Smart much?I think she loves being a grandma. The kids were all of a sudden on the floor. No one was sure what happened. The baby was so cute and funny. I swear he was making that face on purpose for the picture! We lost the men after the first batch of pictures and they absolutely refused to be in anymore. So I figured I’d just catch them all on the couch watching the world cup- which is exactly where they stayed.  Thanks for a great shoot (even if it was a little begrudgingly attended by some) and fun in a whole new state!

    the barr family

Drove out to NJ on yet another broiling hot and humid day for this shoot for my old (going to say long-time instead. Sounds better.)  friend Rich and his son. We waited a while to get started with the shoot, hoping the weather would cool down a little but that just didn’t happen. But the light was gorgeous and the yard was fantastic, so we sweated, had lots of fun and took some great pictures.

    He has the best eyes.

Their yard is a photographers dream. If it wasn’t SO far away (I won’t even tell you how long it took me to get home with the Sunday evening Jersey shore traffic!!) I’d rent it out for more shoots. The picture on the left? Yeah, you know that didn’t end well. For anyone. But it was all good and everyone recovered fast, cause the next shot was the picture on the right. Gorgeous boy. The slate on the right side picture was SO hot to lay on (I was laying down too for this one) it felt like you were on a pizza stone. Being cooked. We moved on to a little ‘activity’ to mix things up a little. There’s a putting green in the backyard!
A little soccer ball balancing and a little bed jumping. (Don’t mind the paint- they are in the middle of painting a new color in L’s room)Love this. Something about the picture on the left is so quintessentially boy. And I told you the yard was amazing.
Love this, too. Thanks Rich (and thanks for the 1000 glasses of water) and L for letting me share your afternoon. Had a great time!! Even with the sweat and traffic.
