    back to school

Don’t even know how I feel. Excited, happy for them that everyone had a great sendoff this morning, sad, lonely, numb. Enjoying the quiet and editing in peace. Missing Timmy’s little voice and face so much. Not missing the bickering and arguing from them being together all summer. Missing Jack & Patrick talking baseball. Missing all 3 so much and can’t wait until 3pm today to hear allllll about it.

In retrospect, I’m thinking I didn’t plan this out to well. Big boys starting Middle School and Timmy starting Kindergarten all on the same day? Not working for me.

Took the boys up to the Middle School last week after orientation to set up their lockers and walk their schedules again. Took the pictures them so I wouldn’t have to embarass them (well, anymore that necessary) on the first day!

And this morning:And Timmy this morning, an hour after the boys left:Timmy’s BFF’s who are all in the same class!! Jack and Olivia- not to mention many other kids we know in the class. Looks like it’s going to be a great year!!Hugging Daddy. And he’s on his way.

    Waaaaaaa!!!!

    …and that’s that

Cannot even believe that summer’s over. And that school starts tomorrow. Happy and sad, excited and dreading it all at once. I’ll have some back to school pictures for you tomorrow (as I edit between the tears that will surely be streaming down my face) but for today, just enjoy some end of the summer beach scenes.

    the sulv family

Sorry for the late in the day posting today, doing my best to catch up on everything (but I think that’s probably a lost cause!)

Had a wonderful shoot for the equally wonderful “sulv” family. They are really so fantastic and fun and just happy to be together– and I hope I was able to capture that in my pictures.

Mom and I have recently become friends, although she is one of those people that I should have been friends with for a long time. We have lived pretty much parallel lives since grade school with friends in common, we had just never met. Until now. And I’m so glad we did!! Dad is undergoing treatment for colorectal cancer and has been for a while- you may remember the blog post that I did on the blood drive they were having to benefit Rob. You could never tell, right?! He (and all of them) have the BEST attitude I’ve ever been privliged to experience and I always feel lucky spending time with them, hoping some of that optimism and bravery rubs off!!

Three gorgeous blondies. See what I mean about the laughing? The classic bsquared walking away down the beach picture, with the sulv family twist. Love them!!Love all the squishy togetherness!!Beauty. Magical.  Thanks for a wonderful time!! See you at the beach, pool, and of course on FB!!

    tricia & bill- the portraits

The very last part of the wedding photos for Tricia and Bill- which makes me a little sad because I’ve had so much fun taking the pictures and editing them. But all good things must end, and I have lots of pictures to share with you today.

    Total gorgeousness!!

The whole (big) wedding party. I just love to see brothers who are so close. Handsome devil!Beautiful bride. Simply stunning. Tricia…. rawr. That is all.  Both of you were nothing but a pleasure to work with and photograph. Thank you Tricia for the amazing and constant praise and love you send my way everyday!!
