    photo a day- day 18

Hoping to be leaving the frozen effing tundra that is New York and heading to the warm sunniness of south Florida. That was actually supposed to happen today, like right this minute I should be taking off, but because of the weather advisory the airline said you could switch your flight to another day. I figured with the forecast that was the way to go. Especially after seeing what happened to so many of my friends when the last storm hit and everyone got cancelled and stranded. But of course since I did change our flight, it’s now perfectly fine out. With my traveling luck, tomorrow will be crappy and our flight will get either delayed, cancelled or crash. Yes, I am that optimistic when it comes to flying.

And if I don’t see this sight again for the rest of my life, I will be perfectly okay with that. I need warmth, sun, palm trees, beaches and a tan. Bad. Hoping tomorrows picture of the day has some of those items in it instead of this bullish*t.

There has been a whole lotta this around here this winter. Not much else do to. And with Jack away until tonight, they are hogging up every second on the XboxOne. At least they’re getting along…

Took Timmy out for a super quick 5 minute or less session. Threw the lollipop in there to add even just a smidge of color to the whiteout conditions around here. He is not a fan of lollipops. At all. (reminiscent of the apple picture I posted on FB this week for throwback thursday, right?)

Timmy has been very busy building some of his new Lego sets he got for his birthday- this one is from the Lego Movie. “It’s Lord Business’s evil lair”. Or so I’ve been told. Maybe some snow pictures tomorrow- if I can manage to bring myself to venture out.  Theres just so much of it and I’m so sick of snow.

In other news, Timmy’s bff Jack slept over again (his parents are coming home from Hawaii really soon) and they had a great time together with a significant lack of sleeping for the sleepover. Patrick played video games most of the day (well, the part that he was actually awake for) and had some baseball coaching, and Jack is wandering around Boston when he isn’t debating at Harvard. In the blizzard. I may age by 5 years by the time he gets home Monday night.

Regis was closed yesterday and again today (not sure why today but I’m guessing Westchester, CT and NJ got it worse that we did and for the kids traveling in from there it would be way more difficult to commute into NYC  than from here) but Jack is on his way to Harvard for the weekend thru Monday for a big debate tournament. So of course, I’m doing the worried mother thing here- long bus ride up, 12-14hr debate days, god knows what at night, long bus ride back, etc. But Harvard- hope he gets a good taste of that! And gets some sleep (yeah, right.) this weekend. I am posting this picture with (begrudgingly given) permission and was informed that I am a creepy stalker. Why this comes as a surprise to my children, I cannot tell you.

We’ll have Timmy’s BFF overnight again tonight for a sleepover so that’ll be fun for them. And with the 937 feet of snow still outside I have a feeling they’ll be out playing for at least a little bit. I however, will not be. Again, should come as no surprise.
