Now THIS is a happy birthday boy! Happy 9th birthday Timmy- couldn’t imagine life without you! Love you sooooooo much! Let the ‘birthday vegetable’ commence!
Yes, I spelled out his name in Legos for a birthday surprise this morning. And it is a long standing family tradition to have a candle in each meal on your actual birthday, so a candle in the cheerios it is, and I sent his bagel in with a candle in it for lunch too. Dinner out tonight, a long weekend sleepover with his best friend and his movie birthday party next week. See, birthday vegetable.

Ok, technically I took this one last night so if you’re keeping score at home I probably lose some photo a day points for that. But I’m up to 6 days, so that’s something! Timmy’s doctor said no more showers until it warms up so baths only till then to help with his bad winter eczema. So baths with glops of vaseline over wet skin seems to be the miracle cure. And what is a bath without ducks?

Perhaps I should have taken a picture of one of the following atrocities today:
1. me shoveling the slush/snow mix in my pi’s while getting rained on.
2. me cooking eggs and bacon for breakfast.
or 3. me ironing the boys school clothes.
For those of you who don’t know me well, I don’t do winter at all, i don’t cook much and never cook breakfast. Ever. and I didn’t realize we still had an iron in the house. But the above were too upsetting as it was, so no need to capture it for posterity. I can pretend it didn’t happen. (other than the aching back, wet clothes, house that smells like bacon & serious mental trauma from the iron). Happy freaking winter!

Getting my blonde on. (so attractive, i know. but the foils did match my sweatshirt.)
It was either a picture of this or a picture of me cursing under my breath (mostly) at the “last rice truck” lines at the stupidmarket later in the day.

Ridiculous amounts of snow once again. I’m totally over this winter- I feel like I’m living inside a snow globe. But Timmy liked it, for 5 whole minutes.
