    miranda’s sweet 16

Right before Christmas I headed over to Westbury Manor to photograph the lovely Miranda’s Sweet 16 party. I loved her gorgeous gold gown and how it totally coordinated with all the jewel tones they had the venue decked out in. I was only there for about 2hrs, but it looked like a rockin party with all the kids up dancing and having a great time. And although it was ffffffreezing outside, the family opted for some photos outside on the grounds. To me at least, it was definitely worth it!

Hope the rest of your birthday was wonderful Miranda! And may all your wishes come true.

    operation anti-hoarder continues…

So, it was finally Wednesday (paper recycling day) and I was able to drag all of the recycling we were saving since before Christmas out to the curb. There was a lot of dragging. Every box was filled with more paper and more boxes.

And I can only imagine the thoughts of the recycling truck guys when the came around the corner and saw this. In my head it went something like “are you fu*king kidding me?!”

Then, after the recycling went out, the purge of 13 years worth of attic, basement, and scrapbook room crap quickly replaced the boxes in the garage to wait for the Vietnam Veterans pick up on Friday. 13 years worth of crap is a LOT of crap. My back still hurts from all the moving and lifting and shifting of said crap. And the pile goes back about 6 feet.

A special thanks to Nick & Chris, my friend Nicole’s brother and cousin who worked their butts off to cart all my piles of crap into the garage. And while the Vietnam Vets came and picked up, there’s still quite a pile in there (they couldn’t fit it all on their truck!) so I’ll schedule another pick up this week.

Sorry for all the boring blog posts. Have some other more interesting posts coming up soon that don’t involve my garage or hoarding.

    gina’s organic bloom frames

A few more frames delivered and hung (thanks Chris!) in a clients beautiful home. She chose the perfect color combinations that coordinate so well with her already coordinated home! The ones on the yellow wall were supposed to be on the stairs, but we both agreed they would make a much better showing on the entry wall. Especially since the cranberry picks up the kitchen and dining room walls and the yellow weathered area of the frame is spot on for the yellow walls. Delish!!

I’m having SO much fun with the Organic Bloom frames!! Please email me at bethbeyrer@yahoo.com if you are interested in placing an order. I’m happy to come to your home to measure and help you lay out your gallery, choose frame styles and colors that best work with your home and images.

    the murp family

This was a really extra special session for me, and I hope it was for the family as well. Dad is a Marine on active duty in Afghanistan and was home for 2 weeks for R&R and I was lucky enough to do a session for them right before I left for vacation. His schedule was up in the air until the last minute so we really lucked out that the day we did the session we had decent (but a little chilly) weather and that our schedules coordinated after much planning. It was so great seeing them all so happy to be together! Dad’s already back in Afghanistan so I’m hoping the pictures help ease the separation a little until he’s home again.
