    the latz family

This family is one of my best bsquared stories that I tell other families to make them laugh. And even though the kids are still tough and really aren’t fans of picture taking (or maybe just not fans of me?) we still manage to get it done every year. Looking forward to a lot of middle fingers and cursing again this summer or fall!

isabel & friends nyu nursing grads

It’s totally graduation season around here, which between college and then high school, is a pretty long season- totally good with me!! Wishing Isabel and her nursing school friends many congratulations today on their graduation day! They were all lovely, smart and sweet and I think they will make wonderful nurses! Washington Square park was a whole lot of ‘ew’, but does make for a pretty backdrop.

    the seaking run4life, year 2

My friends Kenny & Mary Ellen are amazing people. The kind that give back and want zero recognition. This was the 2nd year of their Run4Life fundraiser where Kenny (and others) run 27 miles in 24 hours to commemorate the last 27 days of his late brother’s life and raise funds for charities and causes close to their hearts. I heard it was a very well funded fundraiser, but more on that in a future post. Enjoy some pictures from back in April (where it was a million degrees out and kids were in the pool!)

caitlin & the st. john’s grads

The fact that Caitlin is graduating college now and headed to St. John’s Law School in the fall is really just blowing my mind. I’ve known her since she was little and now we’re here. Her mom, my good friend Suzanne, was not only an excellent assistant for the session, but like the funnest friend. We lived down the block from each other as kids but never met until we were adults. Which we decided is both very unfortunate to miss out on that many years of friendship, but probably safer for everyone because the amount of trouble we would have gotten into is very, very large. Also, between the two of us there may be more snark than the universe can manage. Congratulations to Caitlin and all her friends on graduation (this weekend)! They were super fun subjects, brave climbing up on the wall and getting IN the fountain!

    mary’s AAPA award/headshots

Mary found me thru a photografriend (thanks, Carol!) when she needed some headshots for an award from the American Academy of Physicians Assistants. She was a very reluctant subject at first who really disliked being photographed but as soon as we started joking around and I showed her some of the shots on the back of the camera, she really settled in and we had a great time. Especially when she indulged me in some silliness which will not be discussed or shown here! Congratulations Mary!
