back to school & jujewels
Ya, okay. So the two topics of today’s post don’t actually have anything to do with one another but with so many family shoots to show, they are going to have to be posted together. So live with it.
While the big boys started back to school last week (5th grade for the love of god! Can you believe it?), Timmy just started PreK this week. Everyone is very, very happy with their teachers and classmates and things are going really well so far. I am not thrilled with the making of sandwiches, driving around all day to different activities, and getting up early every morning. Especially not the morning part.

Oh, and Timmy is a total clown lately. Love it.

Jack & Patrick start Fall Baseball this week, as well as drum lessons. Religion isn’t for another few weeks. Timmy started his gym class, OT and PT, and a soccer class this week. See what I mean about the driving?!
And now for the other part of the post…my friend Judy started a new venture called Jujewels- all photographic & silver jewelry and accessories. We have been working together on the jewelry with me/bsquared photography supplying the photos, and Judy crafting them into something beautiful and fun to wear. I’ve been wearing mine around quite a bit and love it. I have gotten so many compliments on my necklace and a lot of people asking where to get it. Such a nice gift for the upcoming holidays, too!

Check out the Jujewels site here: http://www.whiletheyrelittle.com/JuJewelsHome.html And go buy something pretty for yourself or a friend with your fabulous bsquared photos!!!
I’ll be back tommorrow with another family session to share.

the guid family
Met this good looking family over at Planting Fields in Oyster Bay. I love shooting there- it’s so pretty. And if you can stomach the $100 permit fee they charge, it’s well worth it.

The kids were so cute, both with big sparkly eyes.

It was next to impossible getting one of the two of them together (they are so little and at ages where bribery dosen’t really work yet) but we got one. And one is all you need. But two is better.

He just got finished eating some dirt and along with the teething drool, I couldn’t pass up the picture.

So nice meeting you guid family. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

This is one of my cousin-in-laws 50 sisters (okay, so there are 8 really, but it sure seems like 50!) and her gorgeous family. I was so excited (and a little nervous too) to do a shoot with older kids, quite a change of pace for me.

They are all so gorgeous and ridiculously photogenic.

And fun!

Mom and Dad are no slouches either! (dontcha love the kids messing around in the background?)

I had such a great time working with them. It was a beautiful night. So beautiful that the boys decided it was a good night for a swim.

Using the flash isn’t my thing if I can help it, but I had to get the unbelieveable sunset in the shot. So the flash went on for one. It pained me to do it, but it was worth it in the end.

This shoot did not start off well. At all.

We arrived at our chosen location only to find that 1. the park closed in 1/2 an hour and 2. we needed a permit to shoot there. (I had shot there before and didn’t need a permit that time, so I don’t know what the deal was with that!). So we had to make a last minute substitution on the location and drive a bit to get there. Thankfully, this family was SO awesome and so easy going that it wasn’t as big a deal as it could’ve been. And thankfully, the pictures still came out awesome even with the second choice location.

The kids were so great and go-with-the -flow types. And only slightly photogenic.

The littlest one was no too interested in looking at the camera much, but we have ways around that!

Love the sparkle in her eyes.

And this one- quiet and SO smart. Not to mention a handsome young man.

A rather good looking family, no?

Thanks again, cami family for being so flexible and good natured about the whole debacle.

the enck family
Blog stalkers followers may recognize this family from a recent Christening (not theirs but the mom was the godmother). Had a great time meeting up with them at their home for a photoshoot.

The baby was not so into me, the bright light outside, or the camera but we somehow got a little smile here and there. He was so so cute! Loved the squishy, pink cheeked sleeping one too.

The little girl was so sweet and delicious in her little playhouse her daddy & grandpa built and in her pretty pink tutu.

Aren’t they just a happy little bunch?
