ella’s bat mitzvah
Had the pleasure of photographing this lovely young lady’s bat mitzvah. Since their temple is conservative, no pictures could be taken on the Sabbath, so we met twice. Once the day before her big day to do some pictures in the temple, and then the next day at her celebration. The party was at Warehouse 5 (they always do a great job) and everyone was having a great time which made my job nice and easy! Especially loved the part beforehand where we got to go outside for some portraits on the super awesome grounds under the bridge. Even though it was freeeeeeezing, Ella was a trouper and we got some fun stuff. And btw, is that not the coolest Yad (the pointer for reading the torah) you’ve ever seen? A lacrosse stick. Loved that!!

the chaf kids
A brand new to bsquared family- and a great way to kick off the start of my 9th season of shooting! The boys were adorable and lots of laughs and I think they actually had a little fun! Plus, I loved their bright colors and bow ties! A great family!
This is my last weekend of quiet for a looooong time to come, then its wall to wall sessions ahead until December. Communion season, spring sessions, beach & summer sessions, senior sessions, bar & bat mitzvah’s and fall/holiday sessions. Looking forward to another great year and lots of smiling faces. gilly’s bat mitzvah
After knowing Gilly’s sister for years and years (Timmy and Kendall were in nursery school together), I was so excited to shoot her big day! We snuck in a few photos in Temple (the Garden City Jewish Center, with the nicest Rabbi ever) before her service and shot the whole awesome, colorful, fun party at the Posh Club at the Garden City Hotel. Everyone had such a good time, mom & dad included. It was a wonderful party for a wonderful girl!

Something a little different for today. Took some pictures before the grand opening of my friends new bar & restaurant in Lynbrook. Craft Kitchen & Tap House is a great place! The decor is awesome (and fun to photograph!!) and the food and drinks were delicious. I even had something with bourbon. Me!!! (I don’t ever drink anything like that, but it was goooooood). If you’re in the area I encourage you to go check them out. Right by the Lynbrook train station to make it nice and easy to get there and get home.

julia’s sweet 16
Got to photograph this lovely young lady’s sweet 16 not too long ago. What a fun, fun night!! She must be living a second life or something because she is an 80s girl at heart- the music was awesome (was that a sweet 16 or a sweet 46?? Could’ve been my party with that music!) A lot of her friends are drama and music kids which made for a very entertaining evening for me to shoot. Big thanks to Kathy (mom) for the fun and laughs all night (hope the tape worked) and for hiring me for this super job! Hope you all enjoy the photos!
