Christmas in the city
There’s really nothing like NYC at Christmas. I would never want to miss it. (yes, even with the cold and snow). It’s not really Christmas without a day or more in the city.
We took the boys in for the usual spots: the Tree, the 5th Avenue windows, FAO Schwarz, The Plaza, Times Square Toys R Us, just the streets and sights of NYC, and finally the Hard Rock for dinner. We walked a zillion blocks and had a great time.
I’ll take pretty much anything in the window.
The boys at the tree. Still hate the fact that you can’t go in the great middle picture spot anymore without having to do the vendor picture. What a ripoff.

the baut family
My first blog post from the new Mac. Getting used to it, slowly. Technology is a blessing and a curse. Seriously.
Anyway, had a great time photographing this blondie family with mom and dad who are originally from Texas. And although there were quite a few tears throughout the shoot,(it was a late night for the kids the night before) we came away with some great shots anyway.
And a great video, too! Make sure your sound is on.

the quin girls {mini session}
Jack & Patrick have been in class with K (the younger of the sisters) since pre K so I was so happy when their mom asked me to take some pictures for them this year.
The girls have fantastic red hair and great style. And they are way photogenic and worked it OUT during the whole shoot.
So great seeing you girls and thanks for a great shoot.

No word yet on the state of the crashed computer. You know, the one thats obviously plotting my early demise. Picking up the new-old Mac g5 this morning. At least all the pix are still in the external hard drive so I can keep blogging. And big thanks to Jack & Patrick for letting me take over their computer.

crashed
My computer. Has crashed and died. Really, what else is there to say.
All my clients pictures are safe and saved in both an external hard drive (that is currently hooked up the boys laptop where I’m writing from) and online storage too. My personal pictures too. So, at least I don’t have to worry there.
My email (all my saved emails, my address book) and my photoshop actions? I dunno. I guess it’s a wait and see…
The IT guy we use around here just came and took my tower away and I’m waiting to hear the verdict. In the meantime…
Looks like I’m getting a Mac. I had done some research into going Mac a while ago and decided against it because of email issues with moving email from Outlook Express into the Mac (you can’t) and for my actions in Photoshop which are all Windows based so I’d have to run Photoshop in the Mac in Windows to get those to work. But with today’s development of possibly having lost all that anyway, I think I’ll just go with the Mac.
Mr. Mark at Rockville Camera has very graciously offered a Mac (G5 I believe) for me to try out and keep if I like it. I pick it up in the morning.
And in the end, if this had happened even a week ago, you would have seen me on the news going out in flames of torturous death. But now, even though it’s a giant nuisance at least all the major holiday work is done and I’m not on any strict deadlines.
Still…. just oy.

2010 bsquared prices & policies
Here they are. This is the exact post that will appear in the b2 info on the top bar of the blog. Would love to hear from you to see what you think.
Also, the bsquared 2010 calendar is open from January-May. If you reserve your spot now (before 12/25) you will receive $25 off the regular shoot price. Happy Holidays!
Thank you for your interest in bsquared photography. I hope that we will be working together to create beautiful, forever images of your family or your special event.
You may notice that there have been some changes from last years pricing and packages.
Please note that my fees always include the ‘digital negatives’ of the images from your shoot. That means two things:
1. I do NOT charge per print. Other professional photographers charge upwards of $35 for a 5×7. You are free to take your disc and make as many enlargements, copies, etc as you wish. You own the rights to all of your images. That can be compared to a $1600 package, which you are purchasing for $350.
2. Each and every picture in your album is edited and hand corrected. If your child has a bruise on his head, a fake tattoo on his arm, if your teen has a blemish (or many), if your husband has a black eye from a basketball game gone wrong- I will do all I can to make your images perfect.
Thank you for your interest in bsquared photography. You can email me here: bbeyrer1@optonline.net. Looking forward to hearing from you!
