    poppers

On the way back home from a shoot (a totally fabulous shoot btw) in Brooklyn Heights I decided to run into Chinatown since I was right there and pick up dinner from our favorite restaurant- Peking Duck House. I totally forgot it was Chinese New Year and Chinatown was a total zoo. But I somehow got parking and ran in and out of the restaurant, only stopping long enough to pick up 3 ‘poppers’ for the boys.

Upon seeing them, they decided they didn’t want to wait for morning to try them out (which ended up being a good thing cause I couldn’t twist the freakin things open no matter how hard I tried. John had to do all 3.)They had so much fun popping them open all over the kitchen.

I’m still finding little bits of paper all over– in the refrigerator, on the stove, in cups. And I have no doubt they’ll be cropping up in the oddest places over the next few months still.

    waving goodbye (not yet really)

On the same day I took the star pictures up at the boys school for the yearbook cover and back (you know, the day I played spidey and had to climb up a ladder and out a second story window onto the roof), I did the ‘wave goodbye’ shots as well. Since I don’t have approval from all the other parents, I’m only posting Jack & Patrick’s pictures.

And for those of you commenting that there are so many more pictures of Timmy than of the boys, before you think I’m playing favorites just remember that J & P have had 5 and a half  additional years of pictures than Timmy and they are really wanting nothing to do with pictures anymore. I’m trying but they are fighting me at every chance they get. Hopefully I’ll get some good ones at Disney when they’re not looking and distracted.

    timmy & the lifeguard shack

After all the years going down to Hallandale, Timmy and I finally walked the other way on the beach and found this awesome lifeguard shack. While the big boys were with John and Hakka at the driving range and at Gulfstream, Timmy and I had a little adventure and photoshoot.

Played around a little with the tilt-shift lens (by lensbaby). Still working on getting the hang of it, but it is pretty cool.

    birth announcements

Although there is one missing from the picture (my nephew no less. can’t find it anywhere!) here are a few of the birth announcements I made for clients this year and last. With the many newborn shoots I’ve been doing, figured it would be a good idea to throw some samples up on the blog.

There were a LOT of girls!
